UWC Atlantic College is an international residential school based in the UK. We are an independent, co-educational sixth form college based in the Vale of Glamorgan, a 45 minute drive from Cardiff, Wales. Each year, 350 students aged 16-18 from 80 different countries benefit from a world-class International Baccalaureate educational experience.

Atlantic College is located in the 12th century St Donats Castle on the dramatic South Wales coastline, overlooking the Bristol Channel. Students and visitors enjoy the serenity and beauty of the formal terraced gardens that lead from the castle down to the seafront. From there, the coastal path running along the tops of the cliffs offers refreshing walks with views out over the Bristol Channel to North Somerset.

The village of St Donats is a 45-minute drive from Cardiff, Europe's youngest capital, 20 minutes from Cardiff's International Airport, and two and a half hours by train or car from London. The local town, Llantwit Major, has a local rail link to Cardiff and Bridgend. Llantwit Major is part of the Vale of Glamorgan Train Line from Bridgend to Cardiff. Trains run hourly and Llantwit Major is less than a 10 minute taxi ride to St Donat's.

Photo of International Boarding School in Wales, UK The 12th century St Donats Castle in the Vale of Glamorgan is the beating heart of the Atlantic College community on a campus mixing the historic and the new. The campus, providing a home for the 350 students and 40 staff, is an estate on the south coast of Wales, some 30 km from Cardiff. About a third of the 60 hectare campus is tranquil natural woodland and the pastures of the organic farm occupy another third.

The castle houses classrooms, performance hall, dining hall and a library collection of more than 25,000 volumes in a variety of languages. Also on campus are student residency houses, well-equipped science laboratories, computer facilities, music practice rooms, theatre, student social centre and an independent arts centre.

Located in the County of Kent, just east of London, Rochester Independent College (RIC) is a progressive alternative to conventional secondary education with a happily distinctive ethos.
