Northumbria University, Newcastle upon Tyne:
Located in the city of Newcastle upon Tyne in north-east England, Northumbria University is one of the UK's largest and most respected modern universities. We offer undergraduate, postgraduate and research degrees to UK and international students, with a range of courses beginning in September and January. We also offer study abroad and exchange programmes for international students who wish to study in the UK for one or two semesters.

Approximately 400km from London and 170km from Manchester, Newcastle is easily accessible by road, rail and via its international airport. Newcastle - A Renowned Student City:

Newcastle is a part of the Northumberland region and is a renowned student city with low living costs, making it a very popular choice with both international and UK students. Newcastle is one of the finest classical cities in Europe, with large areas of the city centre made up of buildings listed for their architectural and historical significance. It is a city of festivals and entertainment, with local events all year round. There are festivals for comedy, dance and film, literature and jazz. With several theatres, cinema complexes, classical music and dance venues, there's plenty to do and see. In addition, Newcastle has lots of bars, restaurants, pubs and clubs to suit all tastes, cultures and bank balances.

Sports fans can look forward to football, rugby union, international athletics, professional tennis tournaments, basketball, ice hockey, and first class cricket. And of course there is St. James' Park, home of football club Newcastle United.

Two Conveniently-Located Campuses:
Northumbria University has two separate campuses. The largest, City Campus, is situated in the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne opposite the Civic Centre. Coach Lane Campus is situated in a leafy suburb of the city, 3 miles from City Campus and linked by the University's free bus service.

By staying in our University Residences, students have a unique opportunity to develop culturally as well as academically, as there are students from around the world living in our residences, for example from North America, India, China, Thailand and Malaysia, as well as European countries such as France, Spain, Germany and Greece. All accommodation is close to or within easy travelling distance of the University.
