Queen Mary, University of London:
Queen Mary, University of London is an established university in London's vibrant East End offering Study Abroad programs to undergraduate students at an overseas university who would like to study in England for one or two semesters. London is a leading destination for Study Abroad students and the Queen Mary programme offers you a fully integrated academic experience in this most exciting of world cities. You can choose to between a full academic year or an Autumn (Fall) or Spring semester. A full course load is four modules for each semester of study.

Queen Mary is one of the UK’s top universities, ranked 11th nationally out of 132 universities in the official 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (Guardian). Queen Mary benefits from membership of the University of London. The University consists of 19 excellent Colleges and the prestigious institutes of the School of Advanced Study, with a number of central resources, including the Senate House library.

Accommodation:
Study Abroad students are offered College accommodation on the Mile End campus, providing that they apply by the deadline. All accommodation on campus is in modern, self-catered flats. All rooms are single and most have ensuite (private) bathroom facilities. Typically rooms are grouped in flats for between 4 and 11 students with shared kitchen facilities.

You will be fully integrated, both in class and in your accommodation, with students from the UK and from the many other countries around the world from which we recruit students. You will be one of around 150-200+ Study Abroad students that we welcome each semester.

Campus Life:
There are plenty of ways to get involved in campus life once you arrive at Queen Mary. From socialising in one of the cafes, bars and food outlets on campus to joining one of the many clubs and societies or playing for one of our sports teams: all enable you to make new friends and add another dimension to your study abroad experience. The campus environment will give you every opportunity to become a fully integrated member of the Queen Mary student body.

Location:
Queen Mary is the only campus-based University situated in London, England. It is located in the East End, and is only a 15 minute tube ride from the centre of the city. The closest underground station is Mile End, which is a 5 minute walk from the campus. The East End is one of the most vibrant, exciting and culturally diverse areas of London. There is something for everyone: street markets, parks, cafes, restaurants, pubs, museums and galleries. The cheapest way to get to the Mile End campus from Heathrow airport is to use the London Underground. Take the Piccadilly Line eastbound to Hammersmith. Change train at Hammersmith and take the District Line eastbound to Stepney Green.
