Twyford School:
Twyford School is a Christian, co-educational independent day and boarding school for girls and boys ages 3-13. We are located in Twyford Village in Hampshire on the southern coast of England, approximately 3 miles south of Winchester and 10 miles north of Southampton. We offer high quality education and our past students have gained many scholarships to a wide range of independent schools. International pupils are very welcome at Twyford and we have an excellent record of placing boys and girls at English senior schools.
- As a Church of England School, Twyford welcomes and respects families from all faiths. There are three services per week in the delightful Victorian chapel, complete with a recently refurbished organ. We will remain a small, family-oriented school of about 350 pupils from ages 3 to 13 to ensure that all pupils are known by their first name and valued as individuals.
- Twyford has a teaching staff capable of delivering high academic standards and an appreciation of the creative arts. Classes are small to ensure every pupil can contribute and the staff can give individual attention when required. There is a high level of pastoral care with each pupil nurtured by a personal tutor. The school is split into four houses which support the pastoral system, and ensures that the year groups know one another.
- Weekly & Flexible Boarding Options
At Twyford School, pupils may board from Year 4 onwards (usually aged 8 years +). Weekly boarding is an integral part of Twyford School. Many parents prefer to start by Flexi Boarding the younger pupils for one or two nights per week. In recent years, over 80% of Year 8 have weekly boarded in preparation for their senior schools, or simply because they want to take advantage of the opportunities that boarding offers.

International pupils are very welcome at Twyford and we have an excellent record of placing boys and girls at English senior schools. Heathrow, Gatwick and Southampton airports are all within easy reach of our school.

The Boarding House provides a safe, comfortable environment and lots of fun. The Boarding House provides a safe, comfortable environment and lots of fun in the evenings. The staff offer a varied programme of activities each evening and on a typical night the boys and girls may choose between art, football, swimming, ICT or board games.
- All children study English, mathematics, science, French, geography, history, ICT, design & technology, PSHE, PE & Latin is taught from Year 5.
- There are 3 classes in each year & in the upper years there are 2 Common Entrance sets & one stream of pupils who are aiming at specific entrance examinations.
- We aim to strike a balance between the traditional and the progressive - lessons are challenging, fun and informative.
Pupils are prepared for the senior school of their choice and the one which is best suited to cater for their all round abilities. The aim is to develop the intellectual, spiritual, sporting and cultural talents of all boys and girls so that they leave Twyford equipped for the next stage of their education.
Sport:
Sport is part of the curriculum and all children have three lessons per week, with the exception of Year 4 who have four lessons per week. In addition, the school has teams for swimming, water polo, tennis, lacrosse, tag rugby and athletics.

Dulwich College is an academically selective independent boarding and day school for boys located in Dulwich, which lies south of the City of London only six miles from the River Thames.
