StudyCELTA offers the internationally-recognised CELTA teacher training courses in Brisbane, Queensland. This University of Cambridge qualification is the most widely recognised for English language teaching will qualify and prepare you to teach overseas and in Australia.

The Brisbane centre is made up of 12 newly-renovated classrooms in the centre of the city, complete with all the latest in educational technology. There’s a new multimedia computer suite, free Wi-Fi throughout the building, a student support desk and lounge, fully-equipped kitchen with free tea and coffee and a sunny roof terrace with a barbeque.

The Brisbane centre is located in the CBD, just a block away from the famous Queen Street Mall and two minutes’ walk from the banks of the river and Southbank Parklands.

There are many job opportunities in Australia and overseas for CELTA participants. Our courses in Brisbane include a job workshop which gives practical advice on how to go about finding employment all around the world, and there is open access to the training center job notice-board with details of many positions offered in a range of countries.

Our Tutors:
The tutors who lead the courses are highly experienced in a range of teaching and teacher training contexts, both in Australia and overseas. The training team includes the Chief Assessor for Australia for the Cambridge Certificate and Diploma. All tutors hold qualifications in the fields of Applied Linguistics or English Language Teaching.

Cambridge ESOL CELTA Certificate courses
- offered all year round on a full time intensive 4 week basis, extended part-time option and online-blended option. The CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) course provides initial training for English language teachers. It is intended for those without previous experience who wish to enter the profession and for teachers with no previous training in this field.

All materials, services and text books were available in the centre and admin staff were helpful in finding things.

The tutors clearly knew their stuff and their experience was obvious. They were always approachable and supportive when preparing lesson plans and assignments and their feedback was clear, encouraging and direct in identifying areas for improvement.

Not only has the course met my objectives of preparing me to teach English, but it provided guidance for ongoing development and support.

I would tell others interested in taking the CELTA to take the part-time course! The work required was quite intensive so I believe that to complete everything within a month would have been very challenging. I think that having a longer period to absorb the material was helpful and it allowed more time to do the best job you can do – while also having a life!

Having successfully completed the course I am much more aware of the requirements and potential pitfalls of teaching English overseas. I am armed with useful information rather than just assumptions and hope.
