TEFL Course in South of France

TEFL Toulouse:
TEFL Toulouse is the biggest and best known TEFL course in the South of France. Our 4 week, 140 hour course takes place entirely at our training centre which overlooks the beautiful Jardin des Plantes in central Toulouse. Trainees receive over 70 hours of teaching, grammar and phonology theory, and have 6 hours of observed teaching practice teaching French and international learners of English. There is plenty of work available locally, nationally and around the world after your course. We offer lifetime job guidance and a free accommodation matching service.

You should always choose a TEFL course which is NOT online, but rather over a minimum of 4 weeks (and 120 hours) at a training centre. Trainees should have at least 6 hours observed teaching practice. It should be externally accredited by an organisation specialising in TEFL.

Toulouse is a perfectly sized city with a great climate, near Spain, the Pyrenees, Atlantic and Mediterranean. Bordeaux, Biarritz and the Costa Brava are all just a few hours away.

We think that for you to become a really good teacher of English, you need to have the maximum amount of time actually teaching during the course. We offer a minimum 6 full hours of observed teaching practice, with indepth feedback after each. 

TEFL Certificate Course:
4 -Week, Intensive TEFL Certificate Course covering Grammar, Phonology and Teaching Techniques, which is externally validated by IATQuO

Applicants need to have university entrance qualifications, and be over 18 when the course begins. Non native English speaking applicants are welcome if they have fluent English.

Trainees do NOT need to speak French to follow the course, as the methodology enables you to teach multilingual groups, never having to revert to your students language(s).

We offer a free accommodation finding service. Be careful with other TEFL courses here - you can end up spending up to 1000 a month on top of your course fees if you are not careful!

Your training was, and is, extremely useful. I am now in China… and teaching little kids their first words in English. I feel like I’m still learning and I guess that’s what teaching really is!!! Getting into the depths of things, getting to know the other, dicovering and sharing feelings. If you saw my writing on the board, you wouldn’t recognize me. Shortly after graduating from TEFL, I hit the ground running in pursuit of a teaching job in France. TEFL Toulouse was wonderful about providing genuine and tested guidance for finding jobs post-graduation. It wasn’t long after completing the course, perhaps a week or two, when I found myself with two private TESOL students and an interview at a local language school. I taught English in Korea for a while, then since returning I’ve been teaching students at UCLA where I had students from Brazil, Taiwan, Turkey, Russia, Japan, and France –  all in the same class! One of my Brazilian students enjoyed my class so much, that she gave me a Mickey Mouse #1 teacher trinket after we all went to Disneyland. And because LA is a major tourist destination, I’ve been a tour guide/teacher/chaperone for Chinese and Japanese students who were here on their winter/spring vacations. In fact, I’m teaching/chaperoning a Japanese high school group from Kyushu next week. I also have a lot of TESOL work lined up this summer with the same organizations as well. My TEFL certification has certainly led me to places beyond the classroom!
