CELTA is an internationally-recognised qualification which is intended for people without previous teaching experience who wish to enter the profession of English language teaching to adults. It is also suitable for those which some previous teaching experience but no formal qualification.
Full-time Cambridge CELTA Course
Course Duration: 4 weeks. Available all year round.
The Cambridge Certificate (CELTA) course will qualify and prepare you to teach overseas and in Spain. With five main units of learning, the course timetable is divided into two closely-related parts - Methodology and Language Analysis.
- Language analysis and awareness
- Learners and teachers, and the teaching and learning context
- Planning and resources for different contexts
- Language skills: reading, listening, speaking and writing
- Developing teaching skills and professionalism
Teaching Practice:
Teaching practice takes place every day where groups of up to six trainees work with small classes of students at different levels and gain practical teaching experience. The teaching practice is assessed by one of our tutors, and you receive written and oral feedback from your peers and tutors. In addition, the observation of practising teachers is an intrinsic element of the CELTA course.
TEFL+Spanish Course
Course Duration: 7 weeks
This course consists of a 2-week Spanish course prior to your CELTA course (4 weeks), followed by a 1-week chill out.
