Milestones Preschool, Los Angeles:
Milestones Preschool provides a play based bilingual (English and Spanish) preschool program in the beautiful neighborhood of Lower Ladera in Inglewood in Los Angeles, close to Westchester and Culver City. At Milestones, we take extra care in making children feel safe, comfortable and loved. We provide children a rich environment to explore and discover. We teach reading, writing, math, science and social development through play. Teachers take immense care in planning the curriculum around the child’s interest zone. With our bilingual program, we speak, sing songs, do rhymes, finger plays count and introduce letters in both Spanish and English.

Our goal for our graduates is to enter kindergarten as self confident, effective problem solvers.

Our Philosophy:
Our philosophy is influenced by the teachings of Reggio, a philosophy that believes that children thrive when given time to ask questions, test theories and explore topics that interest them.

At Milestones, we emphasize community. We recognize that parents are a child’s first teacher; therefore, we work with families as partners in supporting the children’s complete development. We work as one unit and try to maintain consistency throughout the children’s lives.

Milestones prides itself on offering an anti bias curriculum, one that recognizes and celebrates diversity. We talk about all kinds of cultures, family units and lifestyles. We celebrate all people and value each individual and their respective abilities. We believe that if children are to grow up with the attitudes, knowledge and skills necessary for living in a complex, diverse world we must enable and empower them to be confident in their self identity and just in their interactions.
