Addiction is an online math game for young and old where you have to click on adjacent (touching) blocks in the correct sequence in order to come up with the right sum. Addiction is a brain-teaser for those who want to challenge their numerical skills or increase their mental speed in a fun new way! Play against the clock or at your own pace. This addition, subtraction, multiplication and division practice activity involves good hand-eye coordination, and is tricky to begin with. In fact, it might just drive you bonkers! However, once you get the hang of it, you’ll be hooked!
How to Play: There are two modes to choose from: Primes Mode – where you have all the time you want and Timed Mode – where you have to play fast, scoring as many points as possible. Full in-game instructions explain the finer details of how to play and offer a step-by-step tutorial. Once you start this addicting brain-game, you’re on the road to becoming a Prime (number one) Braniac!
Use you computer mouse to click on the blocks in the game screen. Click on a sequence of adjacent blocks to make the correct sums. Double-click the last block to complete the sum. Sums can include numbers of one or two digits. The operations within the sum can be performed in any order – for example: 1+2×3 can be (1+2) x3 = 9 or 1+ (2×3) = 7. Sky blue blocks with a question mark (?) on them are “Wild Blocks”. They can take any value from (0-9) or (Add), (Subtract), (Multiply) or (Divide). Wild blocks change back to normal blocks after three turns, so be careful. You can see your score in the top left corner of the game screen. Have a go!
