Lectures are usually given in English, therefore a good knowledge of the language is essential. The sending institution must certify each student's ability to study and sit exams through English. Some subjects are more technical than others and may require a higher standard of language. The International Office can advise you regarding subject choice.

Located in Raheny, North Dublin, Ireland, Walmer College & Holistic Centre offers holistic medicine and I.T.E.C. diploma courses in holistic massage, anatomy and physiology, aromatherapy, indian head massgae, stone therapy massage, onsite massage, stress management massage, thai massage and sports massage. We also provide diploma courses in diet and nutrition, beauty specialist and refexology as well as workshops and evening classes in reiki, integrated energy therapy, kinesiology and teacher training courses including the Diana Cooper School.

The College of Naturopathic Medicine is one of Ireland’s largest, most highly-respected and well-known natural medicine training providers, with colleges in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Limerick. Our Naturopathy Foundation Courses (Biomedicine, Naturopathy Study, and Naturopathic Practical) form the basis of our training and provide CNM students with a firm grasp of Naturopathic principles and therapies, before proceeding to specialisation in Homeopathy, Acupuncture, and/or Herbal Medicine. For those studying Naturopathic Nutrition, Naturopathy Study and Naturopathic Practical are optional courses. We offer full-time and part-time study options. The CNM is dedicated to training successful and qualified practitioners, with courses fully recognised and accredited by the relevant regulating bodies.
From a 1970s Regional Technical College to a modern-day Institute of Technology, GMIT has grown to become a centre of education competing on a national and international stage. The days of the student as a young, fresh-faced school-leaver are over. Students now come in all guises and education is no longer time- or location-dependant. The changes all point to a new emphasis on review and evaluation. Higher education institutes are being increasingly challenged to explain what they are doing, how they are doing it and how well it is being done. GMIT’s own personal story began on Monday, 18th September 1972 when the first students entered the new Regional Technical College building on Dublin Road, Galway. Enrolment on that autumn day stood at 1,213 students; registration has doubled and tripled to reach almost 9,000 students today.
