We are conveniently located near the University district and within walking distance of Piccadilly Railway Station and Piccadilly Gardens, in the centre of Manchester city. Manchester is fast becoming recognised as England's second city. It is the birthplace of the industrial revolution and a major centre of learning, with three universities and two colleges of music. The Greater Manchester area has a population of around 2.5 million and the student population has been estimated at 88,000, which explains why Manchester is known as 'the ultimate student city'.

Piccadilly Gardens is the main square in the centre of the city, just 5 minutes' walk from the College. It is a popular meeting point and hosts events such as ice skating and free musical performances.

If arriving by train, walk out of Piccadilly train station on the lower ground floor (where the taxi rank is located) and cross London Road. Excel College is just a short distance down Fairfield Street on the left hand side. If approaching from Piccadilly Gardens, the easiest way is to walk down Portland Street, turn left into Minshull Street and walk past the Courthouse on your right until you come to the corner of Whitworth Street and Fairfield Street. You will see Cedar House in front of you.
