Located in the town of Mortola at the border of the Italian Riviera and the famous French "Cote d'Azur", accademia d'arte is a specialized art holiday school in Italy that offers painting and sculpture classes and workshops for beginner to advanced artists. International artist Nicole Durand offers painting, drawing and scuplture classes and workshops for beginners to advanced artists. All classes can be taught in English, Italian and French.

The content of each session will depend on the needs and interests of the participants. In each art worshop, sculptors will choose their favorite materials: it can be clay, soft wood, or hard stone.
The diversity of the materials during the same workshops is very educational for the other participants. You will have the opportunity to choose stone coming from Europe (all colors...) and clay from the south of France (such as the famous clay from Vallauris).
If you choose carving stone, we will propose that you work only by hand, in the most traditional way. It is important that you explore your own area of interest in sculpture. Our workshops are designed for both beginners and advanced sculptors.
Mixed Media Art Class:

This class is designed to provide each student the opportunity to try different way of expressing themselves.
Creating with different materials is a way to know and understand your own abilities and discover hidden talents; every day is a new day in this unique workshop!
It can be painting the ambience of italy and the small traditional villages high on the hills, sculpting an Italian model...
We teach many techniques including on site drawing, learning about persperctive, watercolour, charcoal, anatomical studies, clay modelling, stone or wood carving.
Additional studies can be added depending on the interest of the students and may include:

- Clay figures and live models
- Life drawing classes
