The University of Freiburg is especially suited to initiate a LAS program at a University College: It is one of Germany’s leading research and higher education institutions and has a longstanding tradition in interdisciplinary research and teaching. Furthermore, Freiburg is one of Germany’s most beautiful and agreeable cities, situated at the heart of Europe, in direct proximity to both Switzerland and France.
4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences (B.A. / B.Sc.)
Taught in English, majors include: Life Sciences; Earth and Environmental Sciences; Culture and History; Governance. You can also choose from a range of elective courses.
The Liberal Arts and Sciences is currently the only progam hosted by the University College Freiburg.

Technische Fachhochschule (TFH) - Berlin

TFH, the University of Applied Sciences, is the largest university of applied sciences and the second largest engineering university in Berlin with more than 8,000 students. Some academic programs have restricted admission. TFH Berlin offers a wide range of academic programs from traditional to innovative engineering majors and beyond. Typically it takes eight semesters of full-time study to complete an academic program at TFH Berlin. Moreover, TFH Berlin offers a variety of Master's programs. TFH Berlin cultivates partnership exchanges with universities throughout the world. A good example of such a partnership exchange concerns the academic program in Mathematics, which offers courses jointly with its partner university UHA Muhlhouse in France. Most of our other partnership exchanges take place with universities in the USA, China and Korea. Applicants not only must provide documentation of graduation from a secondary school at a level required for admission to a university of applied sciences, they must also provide certification of preparatory training in industry/government.

Academy for International Education (Akademie für internationale Bildung - AIB) is a private non-profit organization for higher education in Bonn in western Germany. Jacobs University Bremen is a private, international university in Germany. One of the oldest and most renowned higher education institutions in Germany, the University of Freiburg provides a four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS). This is the university's first interdisciplinary, English-taught undergraduate program and the first of its kind in Germany. We welcome students from Germany and international students from around the world.Reaching across academic fields, the LAS Bachelor's Degree is complementary to the University’s existing disciplinary Bachelor programs. It is hosted by the University College Freiburg (UCF) and started in October 2012 with a pioneer group of 78 students.
