When the student is able to manage the main techniques, creativity can be used in constructing more complexe pieces: the various components and their combination, uniting the parts (soldering or mechanical jointing). Our jewellery making course includes some of the traditional tecniques as engraving, stone setting and fretwork.
All students are together in the same laboratory but everyone works at his/her own level on different objects.
Everyone's programme is tailored to their own experience. Lessons are morning and afternoon every day from Monday to Friday. Lessons are held in Italian but we have a teaching assistant who can help students when they do not understand.
There is an ideal solution for people who would like to visit Florence and learn about its art treasures, but only have a couple of days time. The expert Waldemar H. de Boer offers short art history courses (3 days) in the beautiful Palazzo Guadagni at Piazza Santo Spirito.
These courses are perfect for those who prefer lessons in small groups and are looking for a teacher with a PhD level.
