The goal of the course is to raise student confidence in using Italian, knowledge and fluency. Our Standard Italian Language Course lets students acquire 4 linguistic abilities (listening, reading, writing and speaking). Course features include:
- Small groups of students of different nationalities
- Schedule: from Monday to Friday, from 9.30 to 13.00 pm or 13.30 – 17.00 (according to level)
- Lessons: 15 per week
- 2 excursions per month in Florance and its surroundings with the teachers of the school
- Textbook and educational material included
Italian Standard Course (20 Lessons Per Week)
The Standard Course is for those who would like to achieve a good level of Italian in a short time, but also want to spend some more time visiting the city.
If you want to combine your language studies with other activities, the Standard 20 Course is the ideal program for you.
Intensive Italian Course (30 Lessons Per Week)
The Intensive courses in the Italian language include 6 hours of class a day, 4 in the morning (09:30 – 13:50) and 2 in the afternoon (14:20 – 16:20). Features include:
- Small groups of students of different nationalities
- Lessons: 30 per week
- 2 excursions per month in Florence and its surroundings with the teachers of the school
- Textbook and educational material included
- Issue of the documents necessary for a study visa in Italy
- Final exam
- Diploma in accordance with the European Council Frame

The Centro Machiavelli was founded in 1978, and is located in the historic centre of Florence, just a stone's throw from Palazzo Pitti and Ponte Vecchio, in the area of Santo Spirito. This neighbourhood is home to artisans and artists and as it is just off the beaten tourist track, the economic and social characteristics has been left intact. The school is in Piazza Santo Spirito itself, one of the finest squares of the city.
