Summer Art Therapy Course in Spain / Europe
Metàfora, Barcelona:
Metàfora is an international art school for adult students, situated in an old factory building in the centre of Barcelona, on the northeast Mediterranean coast in Spain. We provide a 2-week Summer Art Therapy course (taught entirely in English) to students from around the world. For more than 10 years, Metàfora has successfully run 2-week summer courses and year-long courses in Studio Arts (the International Workshop), as well as several programs in Art Therapy.

This course is designed as a series of lectures and workshops, with four different activities:

- Experiential Art Therapy Groups
- Large Group Classes
We also provide a 2-week summer art course taught in Spanish as well as year-round academic Art Therapy / Contemporary Art programs.
Student Profile for our Summer Program:
This introductory course is designed for professionals and students from all creative fields, and the general profile of our participants is that of a student or professional coming from Fine Arts, Psychology, Special Education.
In addition, we have many participants from other helping professions or creative backgrounds.
The minimum age for participants is 19, and we encourage mature students to apply.
This summer course is designed to facilitate access to training in art therapy for people living far from Barcelona who cannot attend the course otherwise.

The department of Spanish as a foreign language of the Pontificial University of Salamanca offers a quality summer program in Spanish language and culture, covering all levels from beginner to advanced. The School provides free internet access to its students.
Summer Course in Spanish Language and Culture, with excursions and cultural activities. The program includes four hours of class of Spanish Language and Culture a day (from 09:00 – 13:00 h), consisting of grammar & conversation as well as optional subjects (Spanish and Hispano-American literature, Spanish civilization and culture, Spanish for special purposes).
Improve your Spanish language skills, and experience Spanish and Andalusian culture first-hand through the unique individual immersion program offered by Edu-Culture Immersion (ECI), a leading language and cultural immersion organization. Available to individual high school students and college students (ages 15-21), this program gives you the opportunity to live with a Spanish host family on the Costa del Sol for 2-4 weeks during the months of July and August. You can stay longer if you choose.
With no program of planned activities, you will live the life of a typical Spanish teenager in the beach city of Almeria, approximately 200km east of Malaga in Southern Spain. You will enjoy a summer of Spanish culture, Spanish family life & Spanish language.
ECI also gives you the opportunity to customize your immersion program. If you want to take dance classes, tennis lessons, or keep up with swim practice during your immersion stay, we will do all we can to accommodate your requests.
- Students choose their dates and length of stay from 2-4 weeks. Live with a Spanish host family during the months of July and August.
- There will be no classes, no group activities, no English - just total immersion in Spanish culture, Spanish family life and Spanish language.
ECI also offer 4-week summer immersion programs in Spain for groups of high school students
International Spanish Courses (ISC Spain) offers summer Spanish language programs combined with sport, cultural and leisure activities in Alicante in the south of Spain on the Mediterranean coast. Our summer programs last for 1-3 weeks, and are designed for young people aged between 13 and 18 years of age. Enjoy a unique experience - learn or perfect your level of Spanish, enjoy your favourite sports and meet students from all over the world!
In addition to our Spanish & Sports Camps, we offer summer programs for juniors (ages 13-18) that focus on a particular sport, with options including football, basketball, tennis, & golf.
We also provide sports camps during the academic year, as well as school trips for groups to Alicante, Barcelona or Madrid.
Alicante is situated on the coast approximately 360 km south-east of Madrid, 538 km south of Barcelona, and 177 km directly south of Valencia.
Alicante Airport is connected with Madrid and Barcelona by frequent Iberia and Spanair flights, and with many Western European cities through carriers such as Ryanair, Easyjet, Air Berlin, Monarch Airlines, and Jet2.com.
The students are provided with accommodation and meals in the student residence, and can enjoy an individual room with individual bed, air-conditioning, private bath with shower, interior telephone, worktable & free internet.
Certificate of Completion:
At the end of the course, the student is presented with a certificate of what they have achieved.

Our Flamenco Dance or Guitar + Spanish Language program in Granada, Spain, is aimed at dance and guitar students. Flamenco experience is not necessary.
