Cambridge International College:
Cambridge International College has a reputation as the friendliest college in Melbourne. The college is a registered Training Provider (RTO) and meets standards agreed to by Federal and State Governments in Australia. The State Government registering authority monitors CIC and subjects it to regular external audits to verify adherence to these standards. CIC is fully compliant with the Australian Qualification and Training Framework (AQTF) standards. CIC also complies with the requirements for registration to provide courses to overseas students as specified in Education Services for Overseas students act 2000 and the National Code of Practice of 2007 for Registration Authorities and Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students.

At CIC the English language is taught at seven levels: Beginner, Elementary, Pre-Intermediate, Lower Intermediate, Intermediate (exit level approximately IELTS 4.5), Upper Intermediate (exit level approximately IELTS 5.5), Advanced (exit level approximately IELTS 6.0/6.5).

Monday and Wednesday – Conversation Club, this is where Australian university students come to meet and talk with our students. Many students use the club to make new Australian friends and the Conversation Club organises many regular activities including visits to cinemas, nightclubs, sporting events and BBQs.
Tuesday and Thursday – Job Club is here to help students prepare resumes, how to act in an interview, where to look for a job, etc.
Wednesday – Sport, you can join our CIC Soccer Team, Tennis Group, or Bowling Squad!
Thursday – the Movie Club where we show a recently released DVD, with English subtitles, is a great way to improve listening and reading skills.
For students who want even more English improvement, they can join our English Extras! We offer a number of FREE English Extra classes, such as Pronunciation Workshop, Grammar, Vocabulary, for students every afternoon. They can choose to attend any of these classes according to their English levels.
Every month, at the weekends or public holidays, we organise a trip to different Melbourne attractions like the Great Ocean Road, Phillip Island or the Puffing Billy Steam Train Ride in the beautiful Dandenong’s rain forest as well as many local street festivals and international Sporting Events.
Homestay is a valuable experience for an international student. Staying with an Australian Host Family is a good way to practice English while learning about the Australian way of life.
Our Homestay Coordinator works with Familystay Australia Pty Ltd, a reputable Homestay Agency, to place students in suitable Homestays.
Each Homestay offers students the following:
• A private room which includes a bed, a clothes cupboard, a desk and
a study lamp
• Bed linen and towels
• Three meals a day, seven days a week
• Gas and electricity is included
• Share living areas with family members
