STARS English Language Summer School:
STARS offer the complete English language summer school experience for non-native English speaking & international students ages 10-18. Our program, based in Oswestry in the West of England, comprises of a full weekly programme of English lessons, afternoon activities, evening entertainment and excursions. English Language Summer Camp for International Students Ages 10-18:
- 15 Hours of English Tuition per week
Our aim is to deliver an English programme of a high standard, which is very practical in its nature. All our teachers are native English speakers and students receive three hours of English teaching a day, five days a week, Monday – Friday. This takes place in the morning. Our teachers receive training prior to the start of camp and there is a dedicated English Coordinator, who oversees the curriculum and all of the lessons.
- Develop Your English Language Skills
All our students are encouraged to focus on the development of their oral skills by speaking and listening with teachers and other students. Following an initial assessment on the first day students are placed into classes of mixed nationality with students of a similar ability. The lessons are fun, practical and instructive.
- Communicate Through English
The English programme is reinforced throughout the day, during Sports and Arts sessions and the evening Entertainments. Students and staff communicate in English and students are encouraged to talk to each other in English. As students take part in all events and sessions in mixed nationality teams communication is essential and use of the English language usually develops quickly, especially during a sporting match or quiz where competition is involved!
- Exam Organisation / Preparation
Some students are working through the Cambridge Trinity exams with their home country school. We can help with this and are willing to organise exams if necessary, please do not hesitate to ask if you would like some information.
