Mountain Springs Preparatory Academy:
Located in Cedar City, Iron County UT, 250 miles south of Salt Lake City, Mountain Springs Preparatory Academy (MSPA) is a transitional boarding school for boys & girls ages 14-18, who are transitioning from a residential treatment center (RTC) or wilderness program in need of a safe environment to practice the new skills that that they have learned.
Mission Statement:
Transitioning students from a treatment environment back into society by creating opportunities for choice in order to assess progress and foster internal change.
MSPA is not a therapeutic boarding school but therapy is available from trained professionals in the community who work with MSPA and understand our unique mission and philosophy. MSPA is focused on helping students acclimate back into society.
Family Involvement:
Unlike traditional boarding schools, parents are very involved at Mountain Springs Preparatory Academy. Because Mountain Springs is usually the step immediately prior to a student returning home, parents must be involved extensively in every aspect of the program of their son or daughter. Parents play a key role in helping determine initially what skills and principles are most important for their son or daughter.

In Balance Ranch Academy is a therapeutic boarding school for troubled boys aged 13-17, in beautiful southern Arizona, less than one hour from Tucson. It was developed around a clinically sophisticated model that effectively blends traditional therapy and the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous.Additionally, the program incorporates research-based relapse prevention techniques, equine therapy and other experiential treatment modalities. In Balance Ranch serves young men who are suffering from substance abuse and other co-occurring disorders.
Our academic courses are fully accredited; students may choose to earn a high school diploma while they are with us, or transfer their earned credits to another school to complete their educational program.

West Ridge Academy

West Ridge Academy is a youth rehabilitation boarding school for boys and girls (ages 9-18) in West Jordan, a suburb of Salt Lake City in Utah. Since 1964, West Ridge Academy (formerly known as the Utah Boys Ranch) has been helping troubled teens and bringing hope to struggling young men, young women and their families by providing clinical services, a quality residential education and experiences which promote spiritual awareness, personal accountability and change of heart.
Appropriate candidates are adolescent males and females, ages 9-18, with a history of soft to moderate emotional and behavioral problems, low self-esteem, academic underachievement, substance abuse and family conflict. The school is Christian but non-denominational.
We help troubled adolescents make real, lifelong and sometimes life saving changes. From the earliest days, the organization recognized the positive effect its program had on young men who were struggling academically, emotionally and socially.
Today, the academy has served more than 25,000 students, has expanded to include separate and distinct campuses for boys and girls, and continues to bring hope and healing to families across the world.

Located in Gunnison, Central Utah, Fieldstone Academy Boarding School is a co-educational boarding school that specializes in College Prep and Academic Catch-up programs. Fieldstone is not a school for students with serious behavioral issues, but is commonly described as a "school for good kids who have gotten off track." Located in northwestern Montana, Turning Winds Academic Institute (TWAI) is an accredited, family-run, therapeutic boarding school for troubled teens (boys and girls) ages 13-18 from Colorado and across the United States.In our beautiful, peaceful, and safe location, we combine the benefits of a therapeutic boarding school, a wilderness program, and a residential treatment center (RTC).
TWAI has been serving struggling teens and their families since 2002, with an exceptional degree of success.
