Jingumae International Exchange School, Tokyo:
Situated in the Shibuya-ku area close to downtown Tokyo, Jingumae International Exchange School is an international private school that serves children in Kindergarten and Primary / Elementary School. Following the British National Curriculum across all disciplines, we provide students with a high quality international education from ages 3 through 12. Our curriculum is complimented by the International Schools' Assessment Program which allows us to provide standardised assessments from Year 3 and up which are internationally recognised. On top of this, classes are timetabled with Japanese lessons, which, depending on the ability of the individual, follow Kokugo, or JAL (Japanese as an additional language).

The Montessori School of Tokyo (MST) in eastern Japan is proud to provide an internationally recognized curriculum for the international student. MST is the only Montessori Elementary School in Japan accepting students from age 3 to 12.

With its beginnings as a pre-school/kindergarten in 1993, MST has grown to where it now enrolls over 150 students representing over 35 countries. Kikokushijo Academy International School (KAIS) is located in its modern new facilities in Jiyugaoka, Meguro-ku, Tokyo, eastern Japan. Ookayama International School, Tokyo
Courses / Programs
Ookayama International School (OIS) in Tokyo, Japan offers an alternative to the larger international schools in Tokyo. The school offers distance learning programs for grades 7-12 (ages 12 - 18) and students must attend our school to participate in them. We provide a fully accredited American high school education which has helped numerous students go on to higher education in Japan and overseas. Distance learning allows for many unique opportunities not available in the more traditional school system.

Students are enrolled on distance learning programs at North Dakota Center for Distance Education or at The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Independent Study High School. These programs are fully accredited through the North Central Association Commission and School Improvement (NCACASI) and the Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA). There are well over 200 different courses available for study.

Students may enroll at any time during the year, and if need be, set an individual pace for their work. Courses are also available for part-time students and those who have taken a break from education. Older students can take classes outside normal school hours.

Graduation from OIS is not based on age or grade, but rather on credits earned.
