Designed to provide our students with a structured, well-assimilated body of general knowledge while encouraging the development of analytical and critical thinking skills, the curriculum fosters autonomy, initiative, self-respect and the respect of others, cooperation and responsibility. In addition, by becoming bilingual, our students become aware of and respect cultural differences. They are consequently able to make informed choices about their future and are prepared for success in tomorrow's world.
There are currently more than 900 students on three campuses, the Corte Madera campus, located in Marin County (PK to 5th grades), and two campuses in San Francisco, the Ashbury campus for Primary students (PK to 5th grades) and the Ortega campus for Middle and High school.
Located in Costa Mesa, Orange County CA, Coastal Children's Learning Center provides preschool and Pre-K classes for children ages 18 months to 6 years. We believe that learning is most effective for children when it is provided through ‘play’. Play is the child’s work, where education is life. With this in mind, we will provide intellectual stimulation through a variety of new experiences where the teacher becomes a facilitator to problem solving in each child’s world.

Each teacher is trained in Study Technology and in how to communicate effectively with children. Children are treated as individuals, not herds. We teach children how to learn so they can resolve their own learning difficulties and know how to get help when they need it. Our stress is always toward a purposeful understanding and ability to use the information they are learning. Children may enroll in this school as early as four years old, assuming the student will become five years old sometime during the current school year.
