Whether you want to reinforce what you have learned or get ahead to enrich yourself, we have special summer camp program for everyone. From math contest preparation to fun with math and chess camp, we offer an array of summer programs for children.
Our strength is we have our own materials developed based on student's needs and fielded tested by Ho Math and Chess teachers and teaching specialists. Our summer program or summer camp not only teaches and reinforces student's computational skills, it also help students develop problem-solving abilities. This physiology was clearly identified when Ho Math and Chess was founded over 10 years ago and has ever since been traditionally and faithfully followed by all teachers and all Ho Math and Chess partners.
Summer time is fun time and it also a good time for students to catch up on some unfamiliar topics or learn ahead to prepare for new challenges. We welcome students to come to Ho Math and Chess to summer program to discover how much they can have fun with math - either to refresh learned but forgotten or to learn something new.
Of course, we also offer different levels of summer chess courses for juniors. Not knowing anything about chess? No problem, we will teach you from the beginning. Want to improve yous chess skills? Game Creation and Technology Summer Camp provides summer week-long programs for campers ages 7-16 during the months of July to August. Programs are offered in the areas of 2D and 3D Game Creation, Graphic & Web Design, 2D & 3D Animation and Video Editing. The camp runs in the Teens Computer School Office at 4544 Dufferin Street in North York in Northern Toronto. The camp runs from 9 to 5.30 Mon-Fri excluding holidays.At the Game Creation Summer Camp, our goal is to provide a FUN, INTERACTIVE & MEMORABLE experience for your child. The instructors for this camp are technology professionals who are committed to providing a rewarding learning experience through a wide array of activities.
Our technology curriculum is presented in an age-appropriate format. Instruction is specifically geared towards the age and abilities of our students.

We will open through the summer !! Soroban helps build self-confidence and strengthens children’s ability to think critically and creatively. Children start as early as Kindergarten. The Soroban method helps one easily understand number concepts and is a comprehensive system for embracing concepts and high achievement in mathematics.
The use of the Soroban abacus uses a left to right calculation method, which makes quick estimation and rounding off possible. It improves the understanding of compounded numbers (the Soroban uses supplementary numbers for 5 and 10). The Soroban visually shows the concepts of decimal places and the progression of units by tens. The Soroban develops not only greater mental capacity, but mental calculation, which is the ultimate resource.
Japanese children proficient in the Soroban (Japanese parents often send their children to Soroban tutors for training) can eventually visualize the Soroban in their minds and do high level arithmetic without the aid of any calculating tool. The Soroban instantly accomplishes addition and subtraction when you placed the numbers on the abacus.
