Summer Arts Camp in Ontario
Arts by the Lake at Long Bay Camp, Westport:
Located on the shores of Bobs Lake in Westport, near Ottawa, eastern Ontario in east-central Canada, Long Bay offers summer camps specializing in visual arts, drama, music and dance camps for children and teenagers aged 9-16. Our camp program involving drawing, painting, mask making, sculpting, photography, drama/theatre, rock guitar, African dance and creative writing includes instruction from wonderful and talented art teachers who are specialists in their artistic field. Your children will explore their creativity, learn new skills and make new friends, all in a fun, safe and beautiful camp atmosphere.
Summer Camp Program: Visual and Performing Arts By The Lake
Our arts program excites, captivates and stimulates all our campers' artistic juices. We offer an array of fun and exciting arts courses taught by qualified, caring and talented instructors.
Campers choose from a variety of dynamic courses in visual arts such as; drawing, painting, mask making, sculpting, photography, and in performing arts including; drama/theatre, improv, rock guitar, African drumming, African dance, capoeira, modern dance, break dancing, hiphop, Brazilian drumming, singing, rock band, creative writing and much more.
Traditional Camp Activities
Along with the cool arts programs, Long Bay Camp offers campers a variety of traditional activities:
• Swimming
• Canoeing
• Campfires • Nature walks
• Team sports
• Themed events
Our camp counsellors organize many sporting events such as volleyball, soccer, badminton, ultimate frisbee, world games an
d much more. Each night we will have social time where campers will be entertained by talent shows from their peers and staff, guest musicians, artists, story tellers and exciting games, dances and songs. The fun never stops!
Typical Day of Camp Life
7:30 am Breakfast
8:30 am Camp gathering, Announcements
9:00 am Arts Major Class I (Visual Arts, Dance, Drama, Music)
10:15 am Morning break. Social time
10:30 am Arts Major Class II (Visual Arts, Dance, Drama, Music)
11:30 am Nature walks, talks, adventure.
12:30 pm Lunch
1:30 pm Arts Major Class III (Visual Arts, Dance, Drama, Music)
2:30 pm Elective, choose from a variety of arts electives (Digital Photography, Jewelry Crafting, Hip Hop, Creative Writing, Storytelling, Batik)
3:30 pm Afternoon recreation, swimming, canoeing, big camp games.
5:30 pm Dinner
7:00 pm Evening programs, rehearsals
8:00 pm Social hour, campfires, guest speakers, musicians, storytellers, games, performances.

Main Street Community Services in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, is a not for profit community agency. Using a pro-active and cognitive-behavioral approach to learning, our Social Skills Day Camp in Ottawa enables children, ages 5-14, to develop satisfying interpersonal relationships by enhancing skill proficiency in a variety of areas that foster social competency. All staff are university/college educated and trained (including dedicated Developmental Service workers, Social workers and Teachers) with several years of direct experience in this field. The Director, a clinical counsellor and a behavioural specialist are on hand always and have a Master’s level of education.

Fridge Door Live Theatre Company located in the London, Ontario, Canada region, offers a summer theatre camp for children and youth from Grades 3 - 12. We aim to build confidence, develop competence, and encourage collaboration, in a personal and caring atmosphere, through the process of a performing arts experience. Camp features include:1. Since 1998, International House Vancouver has offered unique, educational, and fun English language (ESL) summer programs for young learners to suit every need, budget and language ability. In Vancouver, we offer a Children's Adventure Program (CAP) for children ages 5-12, suitable for mother & child or family study.
We also provide a Homestay Junior Program for 13-17 year olds, as well as a Residential Junior Program on the campus of the University of British Columbia for 9-17 year olds.
