Located on the shores of Bobs Lake in Westport, near Ottawa, eastern Ontario in east-central Canada, Long Bay offers summer camps specializing in visual arts, drama, music and dance camps for children and teenagers aged 9-16. Our camp program involving drawing, painting, mask making, sculpting, photography, drama/theatre, rock guitar, African dance and creative writing includes instruction from wonderful and talented art teachers who are specialists in their artistic field. Your children will explore their creativity, learn new skills and make new friends, all in a fun, safe and beautiful camp atmosphere.

Long Bay Camp takes pride in its well-cared-for facility that allows campers to explore nature in a safe, natural environment. Along with the cool arts program, campers will have opportunities to participate in field sports like soccer, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, to enjoy campfires, nature hikes, swimming and canoeing. We are just a short drive from Ottawa, Kingston, Montreal and Toronto.

Courses / Programs:
- Summer Camp Programs with visual arts, drama, music and dance for children and teenagers aged 9-16
- Campers choose from a variety of courses in visual arts such as drawing, painting, mask making, sculpting, photography, and in performing arts including drama, rock guitar, African dance, capoeira, modern dance, break dancing, hiphop, singing, rock band, creative writing and much more
- Children also have opportunities to participate in field sports like soccer, volleyball and many camp games

Soroban helps build self-confidence and strengthens children’s ability to think critically and creatively. Children start as early as Kindergarten. The Soroban method helps one easily understand number concepts and is a comprehensive system for embracing concepts and high achievement in mathematics.

The use of the Soroban abacus uses a left to right calculation method, which makes quick estimation and rounding off possible. It improves the understanding of compounded numbers (the Soroban uses supplementary numbers for 5 and 10). The Soroban visually shows the concepts of decimal places and the progression of units by tens. The Soroban develops not only greater mental capacity, but mental calculation, which is the ultimate resource.

Japanese children proficient in the Soroban (Japanese parents often send their children to Soroban tutors for training) can eventually visualize the Soroban in their minds and do high level arithmetic without the aid of any calculating tool. The Soroban instantly accomplishes addition and subtraction when you placed the numbers on the abacus.

Offering year-round computer programming classes and summer camps in Toronto, Ottawa, London, Oakville, Oshawa, Waterloo, Etobicoke, and Richmond Hill, Real Programming 4 Kids (RP4K) aims to provide a rich and challenging learning environment for kids and teens (ages 7-17) of all skill levels, with all the fun of video games. Your child can learn video game programming with the same tools the pros use!

In our summer camps, kids and teens can start learning the fundamentals of computer science, and learn the secrets of video game design today. No prior programming experience is required to begin. With a maximum of just 4 students per instructor, kids learn best in our focused classes.

Creating and programming a video game combines the most complete application of creativity, math, physics, communication skills, and problem solving. We teach kids and teens how to use real game industry-standard computer programming software just like the pros. Your child will learn real programming languages like Visual Basic, Java, C# and C++.

In addition to our summer camps, we offer 27-week computer programming courses, with classes meeting once a week, either on weeknights or Saturdays. Each session lasts anywhere from 1 to 3 hours.

- Held in late June till mid-August, our summer courses last 1 to 2 weeks
