Altiplano Training

Courses / Programs

Altiplano Training offers a unique French summer school for children and adults in Mens in the south east of France. Prefaucon Farm provides a stimulating, and friendly and fun environment which allows you to develop your linguistic ability. After your French lessons you will put what you learn into practice by living and eating with a French family, and learning about the French way of life. Mens is located 40min south of Grenoble and 2 hrs south of Lyon. Here you stay with a local family, discuss life & politics and farming and 'Europe', and enjoy the atmosphere and live music in the cafés. Adults can also take craft courses in pottery, felt-making, watercolour painting, painting furniture, organic cookery, medicinal plants and “green” construction techniques are all possible: all in French! Popular sports and activities include walking, mountain biking, windsurfing & kite surfing, horse riding and paragliding. Courses in these sports are also available.

A 5-day immersion course where you are immersed in French life and culture (7 nights accommodation).

Adults can study the French language with us or help out on the farm, or follow their own activity program.

Children are looked after by their own French language teacher and have their own program of activities and classes with local children, each day, so they learn to use the French language naturally.

Paris American Academy

Courses / Programs

Founded in 1965, Paris American Academy (PAA) is an accredited arts & design school located less than a kilometer from Notre-Dame Cathedral in the famous Latin Quarter of Paris.

We offer intensive summer programs in the subjects of fashion, interior design, fine arts and creative writing. Our summer courses last for four weeks and are all taught in English. A Survival French course is included in the program.

In addition, the English Language Institute at Paris American Academy (ELI PAA) offers an intensive 4-week English course year-round.

During the past forty years, students and professions from thirty five nationalities have participated in either the intensive short-term seminars or attended a longer four month Spring term or a three year curriculum.

PAA has formed a unique teaching staff comprised of academics, qualified professionals, guest artists and visiting professors. Students benefit from a personalized learning environment created by a student instructor ratio of one to five and small class numbers.

Each of the summer workshops can be booked with or without accommodation. Accommodation is available in local three star hotels or private furnished apartments.

Ostroverhy Workshops in Paris and Agay, Cote d'Azur, France offer all year seascape, landscape and portrait lessons to students of all levels of skill. Paint in the presence of a European master in the most inspiring scenery France has to offer. Our workshops are lead by Sergio Ostroverhy, finalist of both BP and PSOA competitions, and explore the secrets of à la prima landscape oil-painting, and classical portrait drawing. We provide a tailor-made service with exceptional tuition, exclusive accommodation and magical painting sites.

In each of our courses Sergio imparts the techniques and experience he has built up over thirty years as a professional artist. By offering a one-to-one approach to tuition, Sergio is able to guide students through the process of creating land- and seascapes in oil, and classical portraits, unlocking their artistic potential.

When students sign up for one of our workshops, we provide all the necessary materials that they need to create works of art, including canvasses, easels paints and brushes; this way our students are able to focus on the process of creation.
