French Language Classes:
Levels I through VI, Intermediate French Conversation, Advanced French Conversation.
WAL offers several levels of French. Levels I through VI teach the basic vocabulary and grammar components of the language: all verb tenses and moods, adjective and adverb forms, pronouns, interrogative words, etc. Advanced Conversation classes are available for students who wish to continue beyond Level VI.

The Ideal School
Courses / Programs
The IDEAL School is a boarding school and an English Language school especially for students learning English, located in Washington State, on 20 beautiful acres in the Portland, Oregon metropolitan area. The school is located abut 30 minutes from the Portland airport, and is only 3 hours from Seattle, Washington (one of the options for our weekend excursions). We have specialized programs for international students to learn English. Students can be as young as preschoolers and children can come with a parent, guardian, or with the whole family. Adults can also live and study at our unique school. You live on campus in a former vacation resort with a family of five--the parents are both ESL teachers. The Alliance Française of Seattle is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization incorporated in the State of Washington. Our principal mission is to promote the appreciation of Francophone culture and the French language, and to encourage friendship and collaboration with the French-speaking world. We are a French school, French cultural center and a major French exam center in the Pacific Northwest.
