Product Design is an array of practical skills that includes researching, conceptualizing, prototyping and testing new product ideas. A product designer is involved in the development of almost every tangible product on the planet from aircraft to cutlery. Their creative ability combines with technology to develop product designs that can be brought to market as attractive, marketable and successful products.

At Dublin Institute of Design, we aim to teach you the latest skills and techniques used by professional Product Designers. You will gain an excellent grounding in design theory and practice and learn how to deal with the design process, from the definition of the concept to the production and communication phases. You will graduate with a portfolio of technical skills that will allow you to work effectively as a professional and adapt to the changing needs of industry. In addition, you will have developed a portfolio of transferable personal skills, including organising your own business, communication, problem-solving and team-working.

The Kitchen in the Castle is Dublin’s most unique cookery school. Our culinary school is based in the beautifully restored Georgian kitchens in historic Howth Castle, Co. Dublin and is open to the public for a wide range of cooking courses and classes on topics ranging from Vegetarian cooking, Chinese cooking, Indian cooking, Mediterranean cooking, Spanish cooking, Fusion cooking and Thai cooking to Bread Making, Perfect Dinner Parties and Fun Girls’ Night Out cookery courses.
