Beginner
This level is suitable fo the student who can speak Italian a little, or can't do it. The goal is to teach the student to construct simple sentences of everyday life and to express themselves using few verbs but in a correct way. At the end of the course the student will know to ask simple information, to introduce themselves in formal way, to speak about the own habits and own job, to ask and to say what it appeals to, to express admiration, to speak about past events.
Intermediate
This level is proper for who already knows the Italian language; its purpose is to bring the student to build complex sentences widening the number of words and expressions known. At the end of the course the student will know how to express a request, how to express surprise and states of mind; to speak of usual actions of the past; to start a telephone conversation; to express a suggestion or a personal opinion; to physically describe a person; to speak of environment, country, trips and dreams; To speak of job and to write a CV.
Advanced
This level is adapted who well knows the Italian language; the scope is to carry the student to construct quite complex phrases using one remarkable variety of words, expressions and times, further it will improve the reading and the understanding. Moreover, the student will learn to use and habits of the Italian language, to express political opinions, to speak about the publicity, about the made in Italy, and he will study the Italian literature. At the end of the course the student will be able to use the past participle, the subjunctive, the composed conditional, the impersonal verbs and various sayings.

The Centro Machiavelli was founded in 1978, and is located in the historic centre of Florence, just a stone's throw from Palazzo Pitti and Ponte Vecchio, in the area of Santo Spirito. This neighbourhood is home to artisans and artists and as it is just off the beaten tourist track, the economic and social characteristics has been left intact. The school is in Piazza Santo Spirito itself, one of the finest squares of the city. With its bars and outdoor cafés, its daily market workshops and restaurants it is a favourite haunt of Florentines and thus provides our students opportunity to meet them. The Centro Machiavelli was founded in order to provide a response to a growing world-wide interest in Italian language and culture. Communication is the basis of our teaching method. Founded in 1995, Accademia del Giglio is a private Italian language and culture school based in Florence in the Tuscany region of Italy, approximately 3 hours north of Rome. Our courses are specifically aimed at helping international students to gain proficiency in the Italian language, understand the many aspects of Italian culture and acquire artistic skills.The school places considerable emphasis on the quality of its teaching. All our teachers have a degree from an approved Italian university, are native Italian speakers who can also speak English and / or French, and have at least 4 years’ teaching experience. They are prepared to help the students with any problem they may experience during their stay at the Accademia del Giglio.
Our classes are very small with a maximum of 6-7 students, and are held in a peaceful, quiet area in the city.
