The Bianca Lopez Studio of Jewelry Art and Design is a school and resource center for jewelry artists and designers of all levels. We are located in a quiet, light-filled studio located downtown in NoHo, New York City, where anyone from beginners to advanced students can learn the craft of jewelry-making and develop their own business as jewelry designers.

Our Curriculum:
Our curriculum, which can be molded to meet the needs of individual students, draws from the history of jewelry and the other forms of decorative art from the ancient classical period to the present. We offer regular classes in Metals and Wax, special workshops on a broad range of design topics, and individual consultations for jewelry designers with new or growing businesses. We believe in using the most environmentally friendly materials and methods.
Workshops and Other Courses:
In addition to our regular workshops in metals and wax, we branch out to other aspects of design, such as sketching, rendering and mechanical drafting in mini workshops throughout the year and during our summer programs. Throughout the year we also bring in professionals from other areas of the industry to teach special workshops and masterclasses.
Lectures and workshops have limited enrollment for individualized attention and the full benefit of the student. The other purpose of the Bianca Lopez Studio is to work with aspiring and experienced designers on developing their new or existing business. We provide private consultations and teach sourcing for both domestic and overseas suppliers and contractors. We advise on designing catalogs, look books, web sites and cards. We welcome individuals from all over the world.

The Barrow Group Acting School is located in Manhattan, New York City. We offer training in Scene Study, Script Analysis, Playwriting, Directing, Film and Television Acting Technique, and other Specialty Classes for professional and emerging artists. Transart Institute, Manhattan
Courses / Programs
Founded in 2004 by two artists, the Transart Institute in Manhattan, NYC is an art school that provides a contemporary learning experience without grades or pre-formatted curricula. We offer an international low-residency Master of Fine Arts (MFA) and a practice-based PhD program for working artists in a highly individualized format. Our students are generally working professionals with wider world experience than students from a serial undergraduate/graduate course of study. The low-residency approach, with intensive residencies, gives our students the opportunity for deeper academic experiences than within a traditional full residency context.
The innovative MFA program consists of three intensive summer residencies with lectures, workshops, critiques, seminars, performances and exhibitions in Europe and two fall residencies in New York. In the four semesters between residencies, students create their own course of study realizing individual art and research projects with the support of faculty and self-chosen artist mentors wherever they work and live.
The MPhil/PhD is a three to four year full time degree program with an average work commitment of 30 hours per week. The Degree is only offered for practice-based research (creative work) accompanied by a written thesis that contextualizes the work.

PhotoManhattan
Courses / Programs
Founded in 2003, PhotoManhattan is an established photography school in Manhattan, NYC offering excellent digital and film photography courses, private classes and free seminars as well as affordable darkroom and photo studio rentals. Introductory and advanced photographic instruction are offered at a fraction of the cost of larger institutes and schools in the area. Emphasis is given to basic topics, critical technique and control of the camera. People of all ages and capabilities are welcome. Our photography classes are designed for students who wish to learn photography as a hobby, therefore our courses are not accredited.
