Atelier Neo Medici offers 2-month intensive painting workshops in the Aquitaine region of south-west France for art students and professional painters. These workshops are available in Spring (March -April), Summer (July-August), and Fall (October-November). Students are taught a renaissance painting technique for contemporary artists known as the "technique mixte". The courses are taught in French and English.

In the southwest of France, between the Perigord and the Landes forest, surrounded by farmlands, museums and chateaux, in the medieval town of Villeneuve-sur-Lot, a group of artists are working together under the guidance of Gregory Pelizzari.

Atelier Neo Medici is located in Villeneuve-sur-Lot in the South West of France. The Aquitaine region includes not only prehistoric caves, villages and rolling river valleys of the Dordogne and the Bordeaux vineyards, but also the rocky Pyrenees mountain chain, the Basque country with its beautiful beaches, the flat forest land of the Landes and the medieval castles and villages in the Lot-et-Garonne.

Photo of Painting Workshops in France The Atelier is located in Villeneuve-sur-Lot in the South West of France. A Bastide from the XIIIth century, along the Lot river, this commercial little town, with its 25000 inhabitants in the heart of the Aquitaine region keeps its traditions with its open-air markets 3 times a week.

The Aquitaine region includes not only prehistoric caves, villages and rolling river valleys of the Dordogne and the Bordeaux vineyards, but also the rocky Pyrenees mountain chain, the Basque country with its beautiful beaches, the flat forest land of the Landes and the medieval castles and villages in the Lot-et-Garonne.

This small medieval town is quickly gaining an international reputation as an artists' community. There are many art exhibitions through out the year
