Our facility houses a student lounge, traditional classroom, functional training space, lunch/study room, a resource library, and an administrative office. The location also offers a café, showers and locker room, and is home to the world renowned Cressey Sports Performance.

Charles River Aquatics at 285 Babcock Street (between Gardner St & Ashford St), Boston, is a swim school committed to helping children & adults develop life skills through swim lessons. Our objective is to provide an atmosphere conducive to development and personal growth for individuals of all ages. We teach water safety, foster sportsmanship and fair play and demand respect for others in the class and in the larger community, while instilling in our participants a love for the sport.

Charles River Aquatics differs from other lesson programs because we are dedicated solely to the teaching of swimming through proper technique. Swimming is a sport to be enjoyed for life and proper technique reduces the risk of injury, increases water safety, and creates a competitive advantage to those interested in racing.

Our staff members are all Lifeguard and CPR certified. They also receive thorough training in and out of the pool, both in our philosophy and our stroke technique.

The Young Artist Residency Program (YAR) at The Art Institute of Boston (AIB) at Lesley University in Boston, MA is designed for high school students who will be entering their junior or senior year in the Fall.

This intensive summer art residency program consists of 4 weeks of classes, and art-making is designed to offer a professional art college experience.

Strengthen your portfolio and become the artist you were meant to be through our Young Artist Residency program. Learn the high-tech side of art-making by gaining experience with state-of-the-art computer software and hardware. Students select their own courses, build their own schedules and are in classes Monday through to Friday.

Students live in Lesley University residence halls, minutes from Harvard Square in Cambridge and study art with college professors and graduates of AIB in our Boston studios, just across the Charles River. Discover Boston, a beautiful world-class city rich in history, the arts, nearby beaches, and consistently ranked number one in the "Big City College Towns".

Youth Empowered Action
Courses / Programs
Youth Empowered Action (YEA) Camp is a unique and inspiring residential summer leadership program in Massachusetts, California and Oregon for youth 12-17 years who want to make a difference in the world. YEA Camp Massachusetts is held at the beautiful Hilltop space of Nature’s Classroom in Charlton, an hour from Boston, and less than 3 hours from Manhattan. Our northern California camp will be held at the beautiful Quaker Center in Ben Lomond, Santa Cruz County, about two hours drive south of San Francisco. There will be two sessions in Oregon at Camp Adams in Molalla, Clackamas County, less than an hour from Portland.

At a week-long sleep-away program in a beautiful camp setting, YEA campers choose an issue of importance to them (for example, some have chosen climate change, racism, homophobia, homelessness, or animal rights) and they build the knowledge, skills, confidence, and community to take action on that issue once they get home.
