The minimum standards for many four-year college acceptances are: four years of English, three years of social studies, three years of mathematics through Algebra II, two years of laboratory science, and two years of the same foreign language.
Advanced Placement (AP) Courses:
All AP courses follow a college-level curriculum prescribed by the College Board. Since these courses move at an accelerated pace that is demanding and will require additional hours of study, Central Catholic recommends that students not take more than two AP courses at one time.
Through the AP exams that are administered in May, students will have an opportunity to earn credit or advanced standing at some of the nation’s colleges and universities. All AP students are encouraged to take the AP exam. There is an additional fee for each AP exam. Students will be awarded a greater weighting in their GPA based on the increased expectations of these courses.

Bay Area School of Enterprise (BASE) is a Charter Public School located on Third Street in Alameda, CA. The first youth-initiated charter high school in the country, BASE provides an environment in which youth take ownership of their own learning and change their own lives as they change the community around them. Youth Empowered Action

Youth Empowered Action (YEA) Camp is a unique and inspiring residential summer leadership program in Oregon, Massachusetts and California for youth 12-17 years who want to make a difference in the world. There will be two sessions in Oregon at Camp Adams in Molalla, Clackamas County. In Massachusetts, YEA Camp will be held at the beautiful Hilltop space of Nature's Classroom in Charlton, Worcester County. Our northern California camp will be held at the beautiful Quaker Center in Ben Lomond, Santa Cruz County, about a two hours drive south of San Francisco.At a week-long sleep-away program in a beautiful camp setting, YEA campers choose an issue of importance to them (for example, some have chosen climate change, racism, homophobia, homelessness, or animal rights) and they build the knowledge, skills, confidence, and community to take action on that issue once they get home.

The German American School of Portland is a grade school offering preschool, kindergarten and elementary school programs with a dual language program where both the German and the English languages and cultures are taught and appreciated.
