A+ Academy:
A+ Academy is a challenging boarding school that prepares our students for university in a global perspective. Our classes are based aboard the Norwegian tall ship Sorlandet, and our sixty qualified 11th and 12th Grade students from around the world study in 20 different locations around the globe. Our students undertake a voyage of remarkable discovery as they and their teachers set course on a circumnavigation of the world.
The Sørlandet Foundation is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the S.S. Sørlandet. The ship occupies a significant chapter in Norwegian maritime heritage.
Learning comes alive for our students through an exceptional and compelling combination of outstanding academic study, delivered within the microcosm of a tall ship, and 20+ incredible destinations within the macrocosm of the planet.
She is, by all accounts, the jewel of the world's tall ship fleet. This recognition reflects the fact that she has been in continuous service since 1927 and today proudly meets the highest of regulatory standards for ships of her class as set out by the Norwegian Flag Authorities and the International Maritime Organization. In 2013 she underwent an 8 million USD refurbishment.
Global education is at the core of the A+ philosophy; to be clear, we advocate the following competencies that are, de facto, the criteria against which we develop curriculum and measure outcomes. They are:

Mennonite Collegiate Institute (MCI) is an accredited, private day and boarding school that offers grades 7 through 12 to boys and girls. • Edu-inter provides homestay programs with a local Quebec French-speaking family for a full language immersion experience for high school students ages 13-17. Please note that this is not a residential school program. • Our Academic Year in French Program (10 months) and our High School Experience Program (3-6 months) aim to provide students with an in-depth French language immersion experience and the opportunity to attain a high level of fluency.
• Students are completely immersed into a local high school program, live with a French-Canadian family and participate in cultural activities and excursions.
