London International Academy:
London International Academy (LIA) is a co-educational private boarding school for international secondary level students, located in downtown of London in the Southwestern part of Ontario, Canada. Our aim is to help international students achieve their goals of earning an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) in order to attend the North American University of their choice. We encourage students from all over the world who demonstrate a positive attitude, proven academic achievement, strong leadership skills, and the motivation to succeed to apply to London International Academy.

Boarding Facilities:

At LIA, students reside in our new Ivy Hall Residence, which just opened in the summer of 2010. LIA strives to provide safe, clean, well-maintained residences, where academic success and personal growth are promoted. We offer different room sizes and options to suit all of our students’ needs - individual rooms and shared rooms are available.

Each student has an individual closet, desk, chair, and bed (with full bedding). All of our dorm rooms have their own temperature control, so students can manage their room temperature and every dorm room has a phone with its own extension number.

The front doors of each residence are locked 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Only LIA students and resident staff have access cards that open the front door and door to their dormitory floor.

- An excellent Meal Plan is available at LIA; students can choose from a variety of meals, at several different locations. Besides the wide food selection offered in our residence dining hall, and school selected restaurants, you are also able to use your meal card to purchase snacks at an appointed convenience store.

- Our residence staff is committed to doing everything possible to make our students’ year at LIA the greatest it can be.

Location:

Known as the “Forest City”, London is the 10th largest city in Canada and is only hours from many popular North American cities such as Toronto, Canada, Niagara Falls, Canada and Detroit, USA. It has an International Airport that serves approximately 350,000 travelers each year, making it the 12th busiest passenger airport in Canada.

London is a city that places a strong emphasis on education. There are two premier post-secondary institutions located within its city limits, Fanshawe College and the prestigious University of Western Ontario. LIA is located near various libraries, gyms, pools, and recreation centers. The convenient locations of these facilities allow students to relax and have fun doing any activity they choose.

Mennonite Collegiate Institute (MCI) is an accredited, private day and boarding school that offers grades 7 through 12 to boys and girls. The school is situated in Gretna, Manitoba, just north of the Canadian - U.S. border. and 90 minutes south of Winnipeg. Edu-inter French Immersion Homestays, Quebec
Courses / Programs
• Edu-inter provides homestay programs with a local Quebec French-speaking family for a full language immersion experience for high school students ages 13-17. Please note that this is not a residential school program.

• Our Academic Year in French Program (10 months) and our High School Experience Program (3-6 months) aim to provide students with an in-depth French language immersion experience and the opportunity to attain a high level of fluency.

• Students are completely immersed into a local high school program, live with a French-Canadian family and participate in cultural activities and excursions.

• Quebec City is the only major city in Canada with a 100% French-speaking environment, making it the ideal place to learn French.
High School French immersion programs for teenagers ages 13-17:

• Academic Year in French Program: This program lasts 10 months from the end of August to the start of June.

• High School Semester Experience Program: This program lasts 3-6 months.

• Summer Bridge Program: This program aims to prepare students for the academic year program.

• All programs include homestay accommodation with a local French speaking host family.
Ridley College

Established in 1889, Ridley College is an independent co-educational boarding and day school nestled in the heart of historic St. Catharines, Ontario. A+ World Academy is a non-profit high school that sails around the world on the Norwegian sail Ship ’Sørlandet'. Students read international curriculum (Advanced Placement courses) on board, meet different cultures around the world and live in a challenging maritime environment that fosters independence, communication, teamwork and leadership.

We pride ourselves on close support of the students through a 7:1 teacher-student ratio, class sizes from 1-18 and support around the clock. We emphasise cultural understanding through encounters with people from around the world, and challenge our students daily to become the best versions of themselves.

Our program is demanding, and not for everyone. Not only are you a student at the school, but you take part in sailing a fully-rigged Tall Ship. You will be given challenging chores, but also have experiences that you will benefit from later in life.
