Oak Hill Academy is a non-military, Baptist-affiliated, co-educational boarding / day high school that provides college preparatory education for young men and women, grades 8-12. Nestled in the centre of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, the Academy is approximately 1.5 miles from the village of Mouth of Wilson in Grayson County, Virginia. We are easily accessible from interstate 77 and are 80 minutes drive west of Galax and 45 minutes south of Marion, VA.

The regional airport in Charlotte in North Carolina offers the best accessibility by air and is approximately 118 miles drive south of Mouth of Wilson.


Location and Facilities:

 

- The Academy is situated on a campus of 400 acres and woodlands with landscaped areas, playing fields, outdoor tennis courts, and riding arena.

- Administrative offices and the school dining room are located in the Vaughan Building at the center of the campus.

- All academic classes are held in Louise Towles English Academic Building (1989 and 2002). This building also contains a library, computer center, and learning resource center.

- The Turner Building contains the gymnasium, Art Studio, student activities center, and athletic director's office.

- The Rev. J. F. Fletcher Chapel provides an auditorium, music practice rooms, and a conference center.

- Male students are housed in four dormitories with a total capacity of 110 , with apartments for resident managers located in each building.

- The Hough Dormitory accommodates 98 girls in two-room suites,with three apartments for resident managers.

- Twenty houses and apartments are provided on campus for faculty and staff members in addition to apartments in the dormitories.

In our beautiful, peaceful, and safe location, we combine the benefits of a therapeutic boarding school, a wilderness program, and a residential treatment center (RTC).
