Founded in 1916, Virginia Episcopal School (VES) is a college preparatory, coeducational, independent boarding and day school for students in grades 9-12 located in in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Lynchburg, Virginia and consisting of an intimate academic community of 200 students. At VES, your friends will be from all over the country as well as the world! Our students represent eleven different states and eight foreign countries. Our small student body allows us to maintain a tight-knit community of familiar faces. We maintain an average class size of 10-12 students, and the overall student-to-teacher ratio is 5:1. More than two-thirds of our students live on campus.

Both in and out of the classroom, you'll get to know almost everyone at VES. Of the 40 faculty members at VES, 70% live on campus with their families, who share not only class time but mealtime and free time with students. We are accredited by the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), Virginia Association of Independent Schools (VAIS), Virginia Council for Private Education (VCPE), National Association for Principles of Schools for Girls (NAPSG), and The Association of Boarding Schools (TABS).

Boarding and Activities:
More than two-thirds of our students live on campus and enjoy an active activities program. You can sing in the Glee Club, play a sport, participate in student government, lead service projects, plan student activities, or any number of things. There is never a dull moment at VES!

On a typical weekend, you might choose to make a mall run, swim at the pool, play in a faculty-student softball game, ping pong tournament or pool game, ski at the new local Snowplex or travel to Wintergreen Ski Resort, take in a movie, eat at a local restaurant, go to Kings Dominion or enjoy a world-class milkshake in the Basement, the VES student lounge, while hanging out with your friends.

It's not just the activities that make VES a great place to be. It's the people--your fellow students, your teachers and their families and the administration. Since 77 percent of teachers live on campus, you'll get to know them. You'll get to know what it's like to live with other young men and women your age, students who genuinely like and respect each other. The friendships you form will last a lifetime.

Blue Ridge School (BRS) is an all-boys, college preparatory, private boarding school for Grades 9 through 12.

We are located 1 mile north-west of Dyke in Greene County in Central Virginia, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our school is situated 20 miles north of downtown Charlottesville, and approximately a 2.5 hour drive from both Washington, D.C. and Richmond, Virginia.

Turning Winds Academic Institute (TWAI)

Located in northwestern Montana, Turning Winds Academic Institute (TWAI) is an accredited, family-run, therapeutic boarding school for troubled teens (boys and girls) ages 13-18 from Virginia and across the United States.

In our beautiful, peaceful, and safe location, we combine the benefits of a therapeutic boarding school, a wilderness program, and a residential treatment center (RTC).

TWAI has been serving struggling teens and their families since 2002, with an exceptional degree of success.

We provide an extremely high standard of therapeutic treatment to our students, and offer help for the following presenting issues: poor academic performance, behavioral problems, addictions, low self-worth, spectrum disorders, ADD/ADHD, and attachment disorders among others.

We are a small program (40 students) which means that we are able to provide a truly unique and customized approach for every student.

Typically our on site student to staff ratio is 5:1. The average stay at our residential treatment center is 12 months.

We create a customized program for each student that requires a minimum of 3 months. However, best results for lasting success are realized through 6+ months of treatment.

TWAI graduates average a 3.5 GPA. It is common for a student to complete 1.5 years of course work in 1 year.
