Oak Hill Academy:
Oak Hill Academy is a non-military, Baptist-affiliated, co-educational boarding / day high school that provides college preparatory education for grades 8-12. Nestled in the centre of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, we are approximately 1.5 miles from the village of Mouth of Wilson in Grayson County, Virginia, 80 minutes drive west of Galax and 45 minutes south of Marion, VA. We are easily accessible from interstate 77. At Oak Hill, 95% of graduates go on to college, and we are fully accredited by the Virginia Association of Independent Schools. Oak Hill Academy is fully accredited by the Virginia Association of Independent Schools. The Academy is also a member of the National Association of Independent Schools, the Southern Association of Independent Schools, the Association of Boarding Schools and the Small Boarding School Association. We are also recognized by the Virginia Council for Private Education. Oak Hill Academy is approved by the Virginia Department of Education and by the United States government for the teaching of foreign students.

Our Faculty:
The faculty of Oak Hill Academy is accredited to teach in their assigned areas, with over half possessing a masters degree. We have teachers ranging from their first year of tenure to 24 years of experience on "the hill." Our faculty view their jobs here in direct relation to the mission of the school.

Co-educational Boarding Program for Grades 8-12:


- College preparatory education

- Subjects include: English, Language, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Business, Fine Arts, Physical Education, Non-Departmental Electives and Microsoft IT Academy.

- Oak Hill is an official SAT, ACT, and PSAT testing site (our international students are transported to a nearby testing site for the TOEFL several times throughout the year).

Additionally:
 SAT Preparatory course and Athletics program.

Accommodation:
- Male students are housed in four dormitories with a total capacity of 110, with apartments for resident managers located in each building.
- The Hough Dormitory accommodates 98 girls in two-room suites, with three apartments for resident managers.

Hargrave Military Academy, Chatham

Located in Chatham, Pittsylvania County, southern Virginia, Hargrave Military Academy is a college preparatory secondary boy’s military boarding school for Grades 7-12 and one post graduate year with college prep SAT, ACT and AP courses.

Established in 1909, Hargrave has a long history of providing quality education to our students, not only in the classroom, but in the areas of character development, leadership, socially, spiritually and athletically.

The Academy provides a safe learning and boarding environment with modern dorm facilities, dining and infirmary services. The daily structure provides a higher level of accountability and responsibility that is not present today.

Hargrave maintains no military affiliation with the U.S. Military, U.S. Reserve Officer Training Programs (ROTC), or other military organizations. Turning Winds Academic Institute (TWAI)
Courses / Programs
Located in northwestern Montana, Turning Winds Academic Institute (TWAI) is an accredited, family-run, therapeutic boarding school for troubled teens (boys & girls) ages 13-18.

We welcome students from Washington DC, across the U.S., and students from around the world (TWAI is authorized to issue 1-20's for international students).

In our beautiful, peaceful, and safe location, we combine the benefits of a therapeutic boarding school, a wilderness program, and a residential treatment center (RTC).

TWAI has been serving struggling teens and their families since 2002, with an exceptional degree of success.

We provide an extremely high standard of therapeutic treatment to our students, and offer help for the following presenting issues: poor academic performance, behavioral problems, addictions, low self-worth, spectrum disorders, ADD/ADHD, and attachment disorders among others.

With a passion for helping young people in crisis, our clinical, educational, and operations staff are among the best in the country.

We are a small program (40 students) which means that we are able to provide a truly unique and customized approach for every student.

Typically our on site student to staff ratio is 5:1. The average stay at our residential treatment center is 12 months.

We create a customized program for each student that requires a minimum of 3 months. However, best results for lasting success are realized through 6+ months of treatment.

TWAI graduates average a 3.5 GPA. It is common for a student to complete 1.5 years of course work in 1 year.
Fishburne Military School, Waynesboro

Located in Waynesboro, an independent city located within the confines of Augusta County, Virginia, Fishburne Military School is a military boarding school for boys in Grades 7-12. For 130 years, Fishburne Military School has aided young men to reach their full potential as scholars, athletes and individuals.

Here, students develop lifelong skills in leadership and self-discipline. By virtue of our distinguished Leadership Training Program (FLTP) as part of recognized JROTC Cadet Program, FMS nominates qualified seniors to U.S. Military Service Academies.

In addition Fishburne offers students a rigorous college preparatory curriculum with college prepartion courses such as SAT and ACT as well as AP courses.

Within the barracks with modern dorm facilities, cadets learn and grow under the 24-hour supervision of the staff. Fishburne offers a structured and caring environment for young men.
