Toronto Music Camp:
The Toronto Music Camp, located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, is a non profit organization affording children ages 10-17 the opportunity to join a band, record learn and perform every summer. TMC provides an excellent opportunity for children and teens to network, play in a band, hang out, and develop musicianship under the guidance of an experienced musical instructor.

Toronto Rock Camp Programs:
At the Toronto Music Camp our band members will jam with peers, perform, record, improve their skills and receive expert instruction from qualified and professional musicians. During the first day at the Rock Camp, you will be placed in a rock band by our qualified staff. The placement is based on various factors such as age, ability, type of instrument and musical preferences. A typical day includes:

- jam sessions,
- attending workshops,
- recordings,
- designing band's promotional materials such as band's logo, posters, CD covers
- participating in sports activities!

Toronto Percussion Camp Programs:
The Percussion camp is open to children and teens ages 11-17. Experience is not required. Camp runs Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm with options of early drop off and late pick up.

Sample Day:
1. Basic Djembe tones: Slap, tone & bass.
2. Basic Counting & Rhythmic exercises.
3. Basic Notation.
4. Some binary djembe patterns common to many West African rhythms.
5. How rhythmic signals are used to cue intros, breaks and solos.
a) Students will learn how to play the signal at the proper time in the rhythm.
b) Student will practice switching between djembe patterns when they hear the signal.
6. Combining djembe parts.

Day 1, Afternoon (1:00pm - 4:00pm): Introduction to Dunun Drums
1. Warm up and review of binary djembe patterns.
2. Introduction to the Dunun: the role of dununba, sangban & kenkeni drums.
3. Basic dun strokes: open & crushed.
4. Basic binary bell patterns.
5. The Fankani Rhythm.
a) Introduction to Dun parts: Dununba, Sangban & Kenkeni, and their respective bell patterns.
b) Practice Rotation through each part: Djembe 1,Djembe Dununba, Sangban & Kenkeni.

In our summer camps, kids and teens can start learning the fundamentals of computer science, and learn the secrets of video game design today. No prior programming experience is required to begin. With a maximum of just 4 students per instructor, kids learn best in our focused classes.

Creating and programming a video game combines the most complete application of creativity, math, physics, communication skills, and problem solving. English in Canada - International Summer Camp

English in Canada - International Summer Camp is offering an English language summer program with a difference for children / teenagers ages 10 to 17 years. Our summer camp is based at the University of Ottawa, close to downtown Ottawa in the eastern portion of Southern Ontario, Canada, approximately 350 km north-east of Toronto.

Each summer, over the past 30 years, 400 international students have enjoyed a unique learning experience. Summer camp participants will improve their English in a multicultural, fun setting, and will make new friends. Our language instructors, as well as activity instructors are university graduates with appropriate degrees. Our classes are limited to 15 students.

For many young students this will be the first time away from home. "Destination Canada" takes total care of its participants. They will be in a friendly and safe environment with 24-hour supervision and health care. Students will be picked up from and returned to Ottawa Airport. "Destination Canada" will make sure that all return flights are confirmed.

Located in Squamish, BC (one hour from Vancouver), Quest University Canada is Canada's first independent, not-for-profit, nonsectarian university of the liberal arts and sciences. Our Summer Scholars program is a pre-university summer program for exceptional high school students (Grades 10 - 12). The program runs over three weeks and consists of one-week courses on a variety of topics. Students can choose to attend for one, two, or three weeks. The program is available as a residential program or a day camp for local commuters.

Our Summer Scholars program is designed to inspire the next generation of thinkers and leaders. You will experience a week of engaging in an academic course in the mornings, and participating in related social and recreational activities in the afternoons and evenings. You will explore the local area through excursions and hikes, choose workshop projects in media including graphic design, photography, and videography, and have optional activities from bouldering to yoga to ultimate frisbee.
