The Highlands School:
The Highlands School, located in Irving (15 minutes west of downtown Dallas), Texas, is a fully accredited, private, Catholic, college preparatory, school offering grades PK–12. The rigorous college preparatory program of sciences, history, mathematics, literature, religion, and philosophy prepares students for the college or university of their choice. Students are guided in their study through lectures, small seminars, and laboratory work. History of The Highlands School:
The Highlands School was founded in 1986 with six students in one of the founder’s homes. In 1992, the school moved to its existing facilities and operating control of the school transferred to the Legionaries of Christ in 1996. The Highlands School is recognized as a Diocese of Dallas School by the Most Reverend Kevin Farrell, under the supervision and direction of the Legionaries of Christ. In 1999, The Highlands School became a fully-accredited Catholic school by the Texas Catholic Conference Education Department (TCCED) and by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) in 2006. This year, for the fourth year in a row, The Highlands School was recognized by the Acton Institute as one of the Top 50 Catholic High Schools in the United States. The 2006-2007 school year marked the 20th Anniversary of The Highlands School and enrollment has grown to over 415 students. The campus is located on 35 beautifully wooded, rolling acres in Irving/Las Colinas, Texas, just 15 minutes west of downtown Dallas and adjacent to the University of Dallas campus.

Facilities:
In addition to classrooms, campus facilities include a chapel, library, full service cafeteria, computer resource room, chemistry and physical science labs, art studio, music facility, gym, football and soccer fields.

International Education System:
The Highlands School belongs to a growing international network of schools implementing Integral Formationsm, the Legionary method of education. Our students benefit from the many opportunities that this worldwide association provides.

• Conveniently situated in the Rice Village area of south-central Houston TX, close to Downtown, Crossing Borders provides quality language immersion programs for toddlers up to kindergarten age children (18 months - 5 years old).

• Spanish & English classes are available for kids ages 18 months – 5 years old, while French & Chinese classes are available for potty-trained children ages 3-5.
