Arbor Bay School / Associated Learning and Language Specialists (ALLS) in Redwood City in San Mateo County on the San Francisco Peninsula in Northern CA (approximately 27 miles south of San Francisco, and 24 miles north of San Jose), is a non-profit, non-public school providing multidisciplinary educational support to children with learning differences. Arbor Bay School / ALLS was founded under the auspices of Associated Learning & Language Specialists Inc., continues the tradition of excellence in educational and therapeutic services initiated by Pam Joy, Founder & CEO, in 1980.

At Arbor Bay School / ALLS, the program focuses on the developmental growth of each child. We deliver a unique combination of educational and therapeutic services to help each child reach the highest level of academic and social success. 

- Grades K-8, 5 days a week, up to 6-1/2 hours per day
- Serving children 5 – 14 years of age
- California State Curriculum Standards followed
- Credentialed teachers and educational specialists

Since 1980, we have been providing multidisciplinary clinical and educational support for language and learning needs for children and adults. This is done through individual and group therapy in the areas of Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Behavioral Therapy. These services are available in the ALLS clinic and to public and private schools as well.

In 1993, we expanded our services to include structured therapeutic language/motor programs for Toddlers and Preschool aged children. These programs are led by speech / language pathologists or credentialed Special Education teachers and supported by occupational and behavioral therapists. Parents play a key role and actively participate in class as well as through parent training and support groups.

The Jewish Family Preschool and Parenting Center of Congregation Beth Sholom is located on 14th Avenue (corner of Clement Street) in San Francisco, and offers high-quality, innovative secular and Jewish education for children and their families. Located in Costa Mesa, Orange County CA, Coastal Children's Learning Center provides preschool and Pre-K classes for children ages 18 months to 6 years. Our program is a learn-through-play, developmental course which follows the High Scope Curriculum. We are licensed for 39 children and have 8 staff members, and strive to maintain a low ratio of 1:8. We also offer a day care service.

We believe that learning is most effective for children when it is provided through ‘play’. Play is the child’s work, where education is life. With this in mind, we will provide intellectual stimulation through a variety of new experiences where the teacher becomes a facilitator to problem solving in each child’s world.
