Summer Boarding Courses, in conjunction with leading British boarding schools, operates high quality, accredited UK summer school courses for international students in ideal locations in Bournemouth, Berkshire, Cambridge and Oxford in the South of England. Our summer boarding courses for children and teenagers provide a truly international experience in fantastic locations, with unique English language and activity programmes that ensure the students return home after an unforgettable summer. As with UK boarding students during the academic year, international students attending a summer boarding course will enjoy a huge variety of experiences inside and outside the classroom, all shared with other students from around the world.

Summer Boarding Courses uniquely combines the experience and tradition of our partner boarding schools, often gained over centuries of educating and developing children, with over 20 years of summer school management from the Directors of Summer Boarding Courses. Learning doesn’t stop when lessons finish – activities, excursions and socialising during meals and free time allows students to practice their English while interacting with friends. 

Boarding is a traditional British experience that brings out the best in children and gives them independence, along with the skills to allow them to embrace life’s challenges with confidence. Students will be challenged and stimulated in a fun environment.

Summer Boarding Courses is accredited by the British Council - In 2018 SBC became the first and only multi-campus summer school to be awarded 15 out of 15 Areas of Strength in a British Council inspection.

We provide English Language Summer Schools in fantastic locations in Bournemouth and Oxford in the South of England:

- SBC Canford Summer School (11-15): Bournemouth
- SBC Headington Summer School  (13-16 years):  Oxford
- SBC at Eton College Summer Academy (13-16 years): Berkshire
- SBC at Wellington College Summer Academy (13-16 years): Berkshire
- The Oxford College Summer School (15-17 years): Oxford
- The Cambridge College Summer School (15-17 years): Cambridge

Activities, excursions and socialising during meals and free time allows students to practice their English.  Activities include sport, dance, drama, art, a talent show, horse riding, adventure sports. Two excursions every week are included in the course (to destinations including Oxford and London).
