The Prep School, for boys aged eight to 13, is the only all-boys boarding and day prep school in the north of England. Aysgarth is still boarding-focused, but now also welcomes day boys. At Moffats, boarding is for children 7-13 years of age, and there is always something going on. Moffats is a true boarding school in the traditional sense. Boarders’ bedrooms, in the upper two floors of the main house, are shared by small groups of children of similar age.
