CLIC (Centro de Lenguas e Intercambio Cultural) International House Seville is a lively modern language school with an international atmosphere, with two centres in the heart of Seville in Andalusia in southern Spain. We offer CELTA and DELTA courses, as well as TEFL management courses for for experienced teachers who are interested in being trained to take up a senior teaching or management position in a language school. We are one of the largest English language teaching centres in Andalusia and the only Cambridge ESOL CELTA and DELTA centre in southern Spain. CLIC became a fully-affiliated member of the International House World Organisation in 1997, under the new name of CLIC International House Seville.

International House Seville Teacher Training was approved by the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES) as a centre for Cambridge courses in 1998. All our Teacher Training courses thus have the double guarantee of Cambridge and International House.

• The Cambridge CELTA course is arguably the most established and recognised TEFL /TESOL course, which provides an initial qualification in teaching English. We have more than ten years’ experience in offering four week intensive CELTA courses, which we run throughout the year.

• Our experienced teacher training team also offer Cambridge Modular Delta courses, International House Certificates in teaching Young Learners or Business English, and The International House Seville ELT Management course. We offer combined courses; see CELTA Specials.

• Our CELTA pass rates are more than 97% and our modular Delta pass rates over the three modules are 81%. In 2006 and 2007 the Cambridge ESOL Delta candidate of the year was a Clic, IH Seville trainee.

• Due to close contacts with local, national and international English academies and job agencies we offer an effective job information service to our trainees.

All trainers on our Cambridge ESOL courses have been approved after having undergone an extensive trainer-in-training programme. Tutors are practising teachers of English who divide their time between teaching and teacher training. They are highly qualified and experienced both as teachers and trainers and themselves take part in ongoing training programmes, such as attending conferences and in-house development sessions, in order to keep abreast of the cutting edge of the ELT profession.

We are a dynamic and dedicated team of highly qualified and experienced tutors.Between us we have taught and trained in a wide range of countries such as Mexico, Japan, Thailand, Ireland, Greece, Italy, UK and Spain, and have worked on over 250 CELTA, DELTA and Young Learner Courses. Accommodation is a key element in the success of your stay in Seville and CLIC International House attaches great importance to this aspect and carefully selects and regularly checks the accommodation offered. Be it shared flat, or high standard apartment, a team is dedicated to making you feel at home, guaranteeing that everything responds to your expectations while keeping you within walking distance of the school.

Shared Flats:  You will share a flat with other trainees. You will have your own room with use of the kitchen and bathroom. Sharing with other trainees allows you to study together outside course hours and share ideas. Sharing with other trainees also allows you to take advantage of the fact that you are together to try and get yourselves organised with cooking and shopping to save time. However, eating out is cheap here, and you may not always have time to cook.

High Standard Apartments:  Entirely furnished and fully-equipped apartments in Seville’s centre with a bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and living room.  The apartments are luminous, bright, tastefully furnished and have air-conditioning, heating, TV and an oven. The communal roof terrace and patios offer a pleasant environment for relaxing outdoors.

* I have my qualifications – what next?  Here at CLIC, IH Seville we provide a job information service. During your course there are professional development sessions on job information and teaching in a variety of situations, in which you can ask any questions you have. We also have publications available which cover all aspects of ELT teaching around the world and we will give you any help or advice we can about finding work, writing CVs, going for interviews, etc.

* Finding work through International House:  International House, renowned for its quality teacher training and language teaching, has more than 140 schools in over 40 countries including over 20 affiliates in Spain. IH Seville is a Network Interview Centre for the IH World Organisation, so we can interview you directly for teaching jobs available in IH schools worldwide.
* Finding work locally:  As we are the only Cambridge CELTA centre in southern Spain, our trainees are often well-sought after by local schools. We will pass on any job offers we receive, although of course we cannot guarantee you work in Seville. We will give you information about ACEIA, the Andaluz association of English Language schools and tips on how to approach local schools when looking for work.

* Finding work in Spain:  There are plenty of ELT positions available in Spain and we can put you in contact with schools and organisations who offer job opportunities. Whether you are looking to work in a big city or smaller town, our contacts can provide useful information.
* Finding work elsewhere:  Our jobs notice board advertises ELT jobs worldwide, and our tutors are on hand to give advice and information on the great variety of countries and teaching organisations that may attract our trainees. We provide a directory of useful websites and publications which trainees can refer to in their search for work
