University of Deusto, Bilbao & San Sebastian:
The University of Deusto is a Spanish Jesuit University, with campuses in Bilbao and San Sebastian, in the Basque Country of north-central Spain. Deusto offers accredited undergraduate and graduate degree programmes, and annually hosts more than 1,000 international students of at least 100 nationalities, through multiple programs of mobility, exchange or as official students.

All University of Deusto's undergraduate degree programs are offered in accordance with the criteria set out by the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), and our undergraduate degree programmes have been approved by ANECA (Spanish National Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation).

About Deusto:
With a mobility of approximately 1.300 students and 50 professors, the faculties, institutes and schools are also implicated in intensive programmes, European modules and joint curricular designs at various levels, at the same time as they participate in cross-border activities, integrated languages, ODL and Leonardo programmes. The entire University adopted the European credit system in the year 1994, and works to promote it and improve its quality. As a matter of fact, Deusto was the first European university to extend the European credits to all its faculties.

Learning Spanish:
As part of the academic programme, The University of Deusto offers international students on mobility programmes the possibility of enrolling in either intensive or regular Spanish Courses for foreigners. All students taking part in international programmes at the University of Deusto, including mobility programmes, bilateral agreements between universities, and holders of University of Deusto international grant programmes, are exempt from registration fees for Spanish courses for foreigners, and must only pay for learning materials.

The University of Deusto also offers Tandem Programmes, consisting of two native speakers of different languages meeting to study each other's language together. Tandem learning is also an opportunity to exchange information about each other's culture. The meetings can be arranged individually.

Location:
The University of Deusto has two campuses located in the Basque Country's major coastal cities of Bilbao and San Sebastian, north-central Spain.

The Bilbao campus is located at the Avenida de las Universidades, between two landmark buildings, the Guggenheim Museum and the Euskalduna Congress and Concert Hall. Bilbao is situated in the north-central part of Spain, 14 kilometres south of the Bay of Biscay. A Brittany Ferries ferry service links Santurtzi, near Bilbao, to Portsmouth (UK). Bilbao Airport is located 9 km north of the city.

San Sebastián, known officially as Donostia-San Sebastián is the capital city of the province of Gipuzkoa, in the Basque Country, Spain. The city is in the north of the Basque Country, on the southern coast of the Bay of Biscay. The San Sebastian campus, is located on the Mundaiz Campus , on the banks of the River Urumea. Its priviledged location allows easy access on foot from any part of the city.
