Percorsi d'Italiano, Rome:
“Percorsi d’Italiano” is a team of Italian language teachers based on Rome, Italy, with many years of experience abroad and in Italy. Collaboration with embassies, cultural institutes, universities and international companies, for which we have drawn up study programmes in the past, has convinced us of the need to offer language courses that are completely dedicated to the linguistic, professional and cultural needs of foreigners coming to Rome for business or for fun. "Percorsi d'Italiano" is part of a language school network in collaboration with Team Teaching and Don Quijote. Classroom lessons are held at the facilities of the two schools, in the central and prestigious Aventino neighbourhood, within walking distance of the archaeological area in the centre of Rome. The school can easily be reached with the B-line of the underground, Circo Massimo stop.

Courses:
Teaching a language does not just mean focusing on linguistic skil
ls, it is also about covering a series of educational programmes, starting with an analysis of the student’s needs and providing the tools needed to facilitate the ability to express himself/herself in day-to-day living in Italy.
At our school we study a lot of grammar, of course, but also vocabulary and pronunciation. The main aim is to communicate, however, which we encourage, upon request, through our “wandering journeys”.
Courses are either individual or for small groups.
They are structured to meet the professional, cultural and linguistic needs of participants, taking into account the time limitations of students.
* Extensive course "Living the Italian language":
Devised to deal with those everyday language difficulties, the learning experience is,upon request, enhanced by practical activities which allow the student to apply his or her knowledge in a “live” context.
The lessons are structured around specific, everyday life situations: shopping for groceries at a market, preparing a local dish, buying a newspaper around the corner and browsing through it at the local “bar”, sipping an espresso.
* Extensive course for professionals "Working in Italian":
In the first phase, the course proposes the learning of grammatical structures, through single-theme learning units and texts on everyday life and Italian culture and civilisation.
The second pa
rt of the course presents the business world as an area providing linguistic as well as cultural challenges, laying the foundations for communication success both inside and outside the enterprise.
"Percorsi d'Italiano" develops its tuition materials based on individual requirements, creating specialised courses ranging from the business and economic environment to the political and institutional sectors, including documents, press articles, audiovisual and web content on current events.
* Cooking and Conversation Extensive course "Italian for eating":
“Italian for eating”, in cooperation with Daniela’s Cooking School
5 weekly meetings, combining theoretical and practical sessions on regional Italian cuisine, for foreigners who have come to Rome for studies, work or simply as visitors.
The courses take place in the ample, well-equipped kitchen of Daniela Del Balzo.
Daniela has acquire
d her professional skills at the “Gambero Rosso” School, and holds the diploma of the French “Cordon Bleu” School.
The main course objective is to obtain all fundamental skills required for the preparation of a complete Italian regional menu while practicing your Italian, and concluding with a magnificent meal, consisting of the dishes jointly prepared during the session, along with a selection of complementary wines. Each session can focus either on a specific type of recipe, as well as a complete menu, from starter to dessert.
“Italian for eating” is also a great birthday/anniversary gift idea for your friends or relatives, as a one-time session.
* Intensive course "Living Rome like the Romans":
This linguistic journey is a combination of language studies and the discovery of everyday life in Rome, with Italian lessons in the morning and “exploration” in the afternoon.
The programmes are always different, in line with the participants’ interests, and, in particular, following the calendar of current cultural events in and around Rome.
For example, schedule the visit of a market or a museum in the morning instead of the afternoon, or spend more time with your teacher in the classroom, depending on your preferences and priorities.
* Intensive course "Italian at the seaside":
For those who appreciate the possibility to combine language study and practice with a pleasant stay at the seaside, Percorsi d’Italiano offers an intensive language course of one or more weeks in a charming little village of Southern Italy, Rocca Imperiale in Calabria.
The course participants will lodge in the friendly B&B "La Casa Incantata", only 4km from the sea, and very close to the impressive castle “Castel del Monte” of Frederick II.
The rooms are fully equipped, and dispose of private bathrooms as well as air conditioning.
The language course combines linguistic excercises with excursions discovering the surroundings, a great opportunity to learn Italian within the most typical situations and settings a foreigner can experience abroad.
Depending on the length of stay as well as the individual interests, we will put together specific course structures in order to make
the most of your stay, while leaving you ample opportunities for a peaceful vacation in a beautiful seaside location in Italy.
* Intensive course "Italian at home":
Finding a pleasant place to stay abroad can be a stressful and time consuming enterprise. This is why we have created “Italian at home”, a language course of one or more weeks spent in close contact with your teacher’s home. This course type offers a particular opportunity to organize all lessons in line with your personal preferences, but also to maximize opportunities for conversations and real-life language practice, applying our unique “on the move” teaching methodology.
