 Kulturforum is located in the very heart of historic Cefalù, a
lively seasidetown on the northern coast of Sicily, the biggest isle of Italy. Kulturforum
is a cultural institute where alongside learning
Italian you can meet and exchange experiences
with local people who share the same interest as
you in the language and culture of other
countries.
We offer a varied range of seminars and excursions which will allow
the students to discover the history, the traditions and hidden charms of
our beautiful land. We also provide accommodation either by local people, in nice apartments
or in comfortable hotels.
Cefalu, a delightful seaside town famous for its
long beach of golden sand, the deep blue of the
sea and its typical Mediterranean atmosphere
with a hint of Arabian mystery, is the most
exciting and charming resort in Sicily. Many
tourists come every year to Cefalu attracted by
the warm bright colours and the magnificent
setting: beautiful small coves, creeks and
beaches, sheer rocky cliffs which descend to the
sea, olive groves, lemon and orange plantations
which diffuse the intense fragrance of their
blossoms, the mountainous woodlands.
Courses
Classes are small and informal stimulating the
learning process and communication. All our
teachers are university graduates with a long
experience of teaching Italian as a foreign
language.
Standard: is suitable for students who wish to improve
their overall level of Italian, practising the
four basic skills: speaking, listening, reading
and writing as well as widen their vocabulary
and their understanding of grammar rules.
Particular emphasis is placed on the spoken
Italian language to cover a wide range of
day-to-day communicative situations.
Combined: with 1 hour of extra one-to-one tuition per day
allows our students to have his/her individual
teacher who can respond to particular needs and
interests.
One to One: is tailored to suit your specific requirements.
Course topics and content are decided directly
with the teacher who will help you identify your
needs and meet your objectives.
Learning Duo: is for students who wish to attend an intensive
course in a group of two. Students can decide if
if they prefer to focus on some specific topics
or relay on our teachers' competence to let them
elaborate a personalised didactic path.
Italian for special purposes: is intended
for professionals who already have a basic
knowledge of Italian and want to improve both
their social Italian and the language they need
for the professional life. The course is
tailor-made to respond to the students'
professional needs. Italian for business.
Italian for tourism. Ready steady cook.
io~tu: is a pleasant way to learn or improve a foreign
language through exchange: "I will help you
learn my language and you will teach me yours".
The school organises a meeting between our
foreign students and the Italian students
attending our language courses. This
communicative approach gives both students the
opportunity to practise and converse in the two
languages and gain more insight into each
other's culture and lifestyle.
Seminars: A series of seminars can be combined with your
Italian language course. The goal is not only
the study of the Italian language but also an
in-depth discussion of topics relating to
diverse aspects of life, culture and history in
Italy or Sicily.
