Lango Discovery, Long Beach:
Based in Long Beach CA, and serving local students in Long Beach, Seal Beach and San Pedro and surrounding neighborhoods, Lango Discovery provides language classes in Spanish, Mandarin Chinese and French to children ages 12 months to 11 years. Lango Discovery offers classes for kids in schools, after school programs, day cares, community centers, and at the students' own schools and studios. Lango was established on the belief that every American child should learn a second language. Frustrated by the lack of options to teach our own kids another language (and having met many other families with the same concern), we set out to create a program that would teach kids new languages in a way that they would love.
Since 2006, Lango has taught thousands of children (ages 1 to 11) new languages in full immersion classes and camps through culturally based music, art, games, stories and movement.

All of our classes are active, play-based and take place in a full immersion environment. Students are able to gain language comprehension by completely engaging in the games, stories and projects they do in class.
- Fun Cultural Activities
All of our classes incorporate authentic cultural activities. Students often play traditional games, listen to a rich variety of music in the target language and engage in art projects that imitate cultural practices.
Lango teachers are trained to use modified language, placing emphasis on high frequency words and communicative targets that are meaningful for learners at their respective ages.
Our entire curriculum is created with the intention that students leave Lango with concrete communicative skills.

Viva el Español is a non-profit Spanish Language and Culture Center serving children and adults in the East Bay area of California. We are a before and after-school program, and teach a wide range of Spanish language courses to young amigos from ages 1 and up, pre-school through high school.
