Diploma of Commerce:
The Diploma of Commerce provides students with an overall perspective of business and the acquisition of fundamental skills, which are essential for their course and career. Commerce degree programs at ECU have a large practical skills focus and are designed in consultation with industry, professional bodies and government organisations.
The Diploma of Commerce course consists of the same units and structure that makes up the first year of the Bachelor of Commerce course offered by ECU. Students study 8 units chosen from the area or areas of specialisation within the degree. On successful completion of 8 units studied in the diploma, students enter the second year of the Bachelor of Commerce at ECU.
Diploma of Hotel Management:
Students who successfully complete the Diploma of Hotel Management are eligible for entry into the second year of the Bachelor of International Hotel and Resort Management or the Bachelor of Hospitality and Tourism Management at ECU.
The industry based course is designed to provide students with the essential knowledge and competencies required in hotels and resort organisations.
When students progress into the second year of their bachelor degree at ECU, the course provides them with a fantastic opportunity to apply for a one semester industry internship placement. The internship is embedded into the curriculum and gives students the ability to gain the skills and experience needed to impress employers when they graduate.
Diploma of Science (Computing / IT):
This program introduces students to computer science, software engineering, internet working technology, computer security, information technology (IT) and other emerging areas. It allows the flexibility to choose between three degree courses at the completion of the Diploma program.
The Diploma consists of the same units and structure that make up the first year of the degree course offered by ECU. ECC takes the responsibility for teaching the units and ECU sets and moderates the examinations. On completion of this Diploma, students can articulate into ECU's Bachelor of Computer Science, Bachelor of Information Technology or the Bachelor of Science (Cyber Security).
Diploma of Communications and Creative Industries:
The Diploma of Communications and Creative Industries focuses on both theoretical and practical dimensions of communication, with introductory-level units in which you acquire fundamental skills that are essential to the program and your future career. The Diploma program consists of the same units and structure as the first year of the respective bachelor degree offered at ECU. ECC takes responsibility for teaching the units and ECU sets and moderates examinations.
On successful admission to the ECU School of Arts and Humanities undergraduate degree, students can choose to specialize in one area or gain expertise in multiple areas, providing you with the multi-skilling required to be successful in today's workforce.
Diploma of Science (Health Studies):
The Diploma of Science (Health Studies) will introduce you to the biological, social and cultural elements involved in health care, as well as providing foundation concepts to aid your progress in your proposed areas of study. Diploma of Science (Engineering Studies):
The Diploma of Science (Engineering Studies) is specially designed for students wishing to enrol in the wide range of programs offered by ECU's School of Engineering. The School of Engineering at ECU is the fastest growing engineering school in Australia with world class facilities.

Postgraduate Qualifying Program (PQP) Business & IT:
The Post-Graduate Qualifying Program (PQP) is a one semester non-award program designed to lead students into ECU's master degrees. The program is designed for students who already have tertiary qualifications but have not qualified for direct entry into university masters programs.
