You can work in Beauty Salons; Day Spas, Wellness Centres, Destination Resorts and Retreats, or travel the world working on cruise ships; for major Skincare & Cosmetic brands in many roles such as Training, Sales or Marketing, as a beauty journalist for the growing number of publications and online media, and many of our graduates go on to manage and own their own successful beauty salons!
Practical training is integrated throughout your course to ensure you perfect your skills. Every new treatment you learn, you also put into practice straight away. Firstly in the classroom with your fellow students (yes, you receive endless facials, massages, man’s, pedis, and tanning!), then your family and friends are invited to come into the college as models.
Once you have passed your practical assessments students are required to complete work experience in our Student Salon. This provides our students the opportunity to practice and perfect the skills they learn on real clients in a an actual salon environment.
You are also required to complete work experience in commercial salons at various stages throughout your course. We have access to a network of over 200 Ella Baché Salons & 35 David Jones stores nationally that provide work experience and jobs for our students.
The Ella Baché College is a NSW “Apprenticeship Approved Provider” for salons located in Sydney, Illawarra & Newcastle areas. Apprentices can now complete their studies and earn their Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy qualification with the Ella Baché College of Skin and Beauty Therapy.
An apprenticeship combines ‘on the job’ training with a beauty salon, your employer, with the formal education and qualification being undertaken with an “Apprenticeship Approved Provider”. Beauty Therapy Apprenticeships take three years to complete, with your first two years requiring formal education with an apprenticeship approved college.
The Ella Baché College provides apprentices “block training” in our classroom environment. This is designed to provide you with as much flexibility as possible in your education studies and ‘on the job’ training.
We use a combination of ‘home based theory learning’, also known as correspondence or distance education, with homework & assignments that you send into the college. You are required to attend a series of four day practical training blocks held at our North Sydney campus. You must attend five of these throughout your apprenticeship. This is instead of having to attend your training on a weekly or fortnightly basis.
We are nationally and internationally accredited as a Registered Training Organisation and are an Educational Sponsor of the Association of Professional Aestheticians of Australia (APAA), the beauty industries premier professional beauty association.
The Ella Baché College is registered with CRICOS No: 04174B. This is the official Australian Commonwealth Government register listing all Australian education providers authorised to offer courses to people studying in Australia on student visas.
