Integrated Design Foundation
The design foundation year is designed for students whose present qualifications do not permit direct entry to the first year of undergraduate study. The programme provides a broad-based introduction to fashion and design, where you can explore and develop your understanding of the creative industries, fashion design, fashion marketing, interior design and visual communication.
BA (Hons) Fashion Design
The BA (Hons) Fashion Design programme aims to produce creative fashion innovators who are passionate about design. It will enable you to express your personal philosophy of fashion and develop your own signature style. As well as conceptual skills, you will explore the practicalities of the design process, and build you technical skills in areas such as drawing, computer-aided design, the creation of textiles, pattern-cutting and garment construction.
BA (Hons) Fashion Design with Marketing
The BA (Hons) Fashion Design with Marketing degree is an innovative and challenging programme that aims to develop customer-focused designers with a strong appreciation of marketing issues. You will learn to design prototype and construct clothing ranges that combine both your personal philosophy about design and the needs of the marketplace. You will learn about fashion markets, the consumer and fashion marketing techniques.
BA (Hons) Fashion Marketing
BA (Hons) Fashion Marketing offers a unique blend of strategic fashion marketing content with specialist knowledge in areas such as buying, fashion show production and fashion trends. You will learn how to develop innovative marketing solutions, based on sound analysis of market information and knowledge of marketing and promotion theory. The programme will build your understanding of contemporary issues in fashion, as well as the historical. design and cultural contexts in which fashion marketing operates.
BA (Hons) Interior Design
The BA (Hons) Interior Design is a dynamic, cross-cultural programme that aims to develop you as a professional who can take on any and every design challenge. We emphasise creativity and craft by learning to focus on the creative process behind design. You will be taught in small groups by experienced tutors with wide expertise in retail, commercial, residential, exhibition and furniture design. Practical design work is underpinned by studies in the history and theory of design. You will also gain the skills you need to communicate your ideas successfully to clients and employers.
BA (Hons) Visual Communication
This programme aims to develop the analytical, strategic, creative and production skills that you will need as a contemporary design practioner. The degree covers four core areas of visual communication: graphic design, illustration, photography and digital media. The programme promotes an understanding of the interconnections between the designer, client, consumer and other specialists who contribute to the quality of design solutions.
